Another one just wanting to send you hugs and sympathy. It is so awful because they give us so much love.0

((Hugs)) from one dog lover to another. You were incredibly brave and your love for him stands out a mile. He will be watching over you, his beloved mum. Every tear you cry is a testimony to the love you had for each other. xxxAspire not to have more but to be more.

I hit the send button before I finished as have my Westie on my knee.
Just wanted to add that I went through it last year had to have my Westie put to sleep so I really know what you're going through.Although I have her son still they are all different like us humans.Rest assured he had a very good life and although another dog can't really replace him, you may give as much love again to another.Thinking of you x x0 -
So sorry for your sudden loss, my heart goes out to you.0

Rising - I am so so sorry for your loss, what a terrible shock for you and I can only imagine what you are going through. Take the time you need to grieve for Ben.

Hi rising from the ashes, I just wanted to drop in and say I'm so sorry for your loss.0

Thanks again for all the messages of support - it does give some comfort that you all understand.
Good news of the day is that my dad is fine .... it's such a mix of emotions, I'm all over the place.
I was sitting this morning and I kept glancing at the patio doors expecting to see Ben's wee face pop round wanting to be let in after lying outside in the sun .... but it didn't happen.
I went out for a wee while this afternoon and went to one of our favourite places down at the beach and sat on a bench for a while and I did feel reasonably at peace while I was there. It was a beautiful cold crisp sunny day and Ben would've loved to be there.
This is a pic of him playing there probably about this time last year
Thankfully it was very quiet but I did burst into floods when I passed a guy out walking with his dog.
Coming back into the house by myself and having no waggly tail thumping against the wall or a big cuddle (I always used to go & sit on the bottom step of the stairs in the hall and we'd have a cuddle as soon as I got in) was awful.
It's really horrible being in by myself. I just feel so alone - don't get me wrong I love my cats to pieces but they will come for a quick cuddle etc and then go away and do their own thing, whereas Ben would be in whatever room I'm in and would at this minute be trying to push his head onto my knee and get me away from the laptop!
Oh darling boy, I can't believe you're gone.
Sorry for "going on" but I just don't know what to do ....... I've lost pets before and it's always awful but Ben was "my one" IYKWIM.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
