Ok this is an awww cute moment I have to share DS just told my friend 'My Mammy's friends on her computer said happy birthday to me' this friend is clueless with technology and I had to explain what forums are and that I am talking to real people not just the PC. :rotfl: took some explaining.
We're trying to decide what to have for tea today, decided to have a day out tomorrow instead, he's quite an OS little boy as he wants to clean today and bake (he likes it I don't tell him to do it, he tells me what we're doingslave driver he is) and he wants to go for a nice walk in the woods tomorrow with the dogs then maybe to a play area or the park if it is nice.
One day I might be more organised...........

Hi all
Been keeping a brief eye on you all throughout the day.
Happy birthday to big peeps and little peeps, hugs to those with worries, ill-health or troubles. Congrats to all who achieve today in sport, exams etc. For those who are disappointed, it is the taking part that counts and you are so important too.
Moggins - it is lovely to hear that things are on the up. Everyone loves to hear the good stories. Definitely go for your shower now. We found a shower invaluable when kids in teenage years - mind you how can a teenage girl spend 40 minutes in the shower and still almost use up all the water!
Re Lily - wonderful news. My kids both very low birthweight - DS was 4 lb 10; DD 4 lb 4 (2 bags of sugar). However, they very soon caught up and as you know are fully fledged normal (????) adults!
Kyle - so sorry about your sleep deprivation. I was really quite fortunate that didn't have a problem and DGSs are pretty good at sleeping too. If we meet half way I will have your kids for a sleepover!!! It must be difficult when OH has to work shifts.
DH despatched to Lidls this morning for half price veg because he wants to make soup tomorrow. I think he is spurred on by his game stew efforts of yesterday! Came back crowing because some-one hadn't taken the £1 coin out of the trolley he used so was £1 up as well! He didn't have to use the token things we have for trolleys. I am just back from my 4-weekly treat at hairdresser - colour and trim today. However, it might not end up as a treat as everyone round me (including girl who shampoos) had huge coughs, colds etc. Thinks when I got home and sneezed half a dozen times - bugs don't kick in this quick surely!
Decided to pop into Co-op on the way home to see if anything was reduced - well..... I think I have beaten DH's free £1 this morning. Chicken legs reduced to 99p for a pack of 7 and there were two packs reduced. Hmmm, good buy I will have them I thought. Got to checkout and was only charged 99p for the 2 packs!!!!!!!!! Seemingly it was because they were £1.99 each or 2 for £3 and the original deduction came off too! How OS is that!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait for DH to get home from footie so I can crow, before I bag and freeze in portions! Do you sense a slight competition going on here?
Anyhow, I have rambled on enough for now.
Love to all

He knows all about Moggins, she's the lady who will tell Mammy off if she doesn't do her jobs :rotfl: he threatens to tell you (pleased sometimes that he can't spell as he would, the little tinker tells tales) We're sat having a nice hug now looking for something to bake, chocolate cookies for a treat I think
Then he wants to get the dehydrator out (will only eat dried grapes, loves them in fact) but that's not too bad as he arranges all the food on it for me, very particular he is too, I did it once and he said it was touching too close, threw it all off and did it again
bad Mammy.

Gosh, I have just worked out that I have 3 x 2 portion and 1x1 portion chicken leg meals for 99p - 7 portions in all. So long as we have plenty veg with them and DH's soup to start, very nutritious and so cheap!
Just heard from DD - she is still not very well, boys are still hacking away. SIL coping. He is excellent doing everything in the cleaning/washing line but he is not a good cook. However he is managing to keep the wolf from the door and has said he is getting carry out tonight! DD has asked if courier service can bring Dad's soup over tomorrow! She doesn't want me to jump in the car tomorrow to help as she feels house so full of germs inevitable I will bring back. I love her to bits! So, I think fish tank cleaning tomorrow. Our HK friend gave us his tank when they emigrated in 1988. It is so disgusting just now and he is due here in a fortnight for a quick visit so will have to deal with it and have sparkling. An aside, we have found if boys were a bit grisly when babies, take them to the fish tank and they calm down. I think that is why they have them in dental surgeries etc.
By the way - meant to say thanks for all your offers of a stone here and a couple of there! You are so kind but I think on this occasion I will decline! I think I would have ended up 30 stone if I had asked you all to send on - can you e-mail a couple of stone????

Good news moggins, enjoy.
Happy birthday to the little ones x
Off bowling tonight, going to look to see if there is any vouchers, I can't bear paying full price if I can help it.
Anyway, my friend finally texted me and said she was feeling a little better, getting things ready for her baby boy had taken her mind off things. I feel better now.
Have a good evening all xxBBxxIf you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -
I never got to watch my movie or eat my chocolates. Instead we went over the road to my friends house and I had byriani and coffee instead with a chat
I have however made the most gorgeous curried parsnip soup. It was so delicious I am having trouble keeping myself away from the saucepan! I want to keep enough to have for tea tonight along with a rissotto using the gammon cut from the hock I used for stock.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
