    Afternoon Chums ,
I am having a really good day.One of my grandsons has just phone to say he has passed his 11+ with flying colours so I am really pleased for him, as he hasn't a lot of confidence in his abilities, yet he has worked so hard over the last couple of months so it has paid off . Every Saturday morning since November he has biked round to my house with his extra homework in his rucksack. he would spend at least 1-2 hours doing extra work towards his exam. This was all done volantarily off his own bat so to speak as he wanted to go to a particular school, close by.well bless him he has done it and I am just as pleased as he is .
Then my sis-in-law phoned and said that Tilly Grace is doing really well now she is at home and is gaining weight almost weekly. She was 10 weeks prem and it was touch and go for awhile but she is a little fighter and now weighs in around 5+lbs So all is well in my world today.
I am now going to have a scout around to see if I can find a good deal to take my grandson to Disneyland-Paris for a couple of days as a special treat for working so hard ,I'm a real softie when it comes to my grandchildren, but they are worth it
(((hugs to all in need ))) take care everyone

    :hello: OS'ers:hello:

    :grouphug:if you need one :grouphug:

Well I am slightly calmer than this time yesterday.....but still not happy, we are going to move out of this house and into sheltered housing, it will take a while, we are at the bottom of the pile again, but do it we will.

I started this about 2 hours ago, but got interrupted when the people came to collect their e bay purchase, they had come quite a way, and so being a friendly soul I gave them a cup of tea and we had a chat.......so I have really lost the thread of what I was going to say:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:  :D old age creeping on a bit faster than I thought!!!!!

Its a bright, cold day, birds are singing, the snowdrops are out and the daffs putting their leaves up.....soon have some flowers to pick for the house hooray...................

OH has been for a walk, moaning about pain in his back, so get mobile, I have pain in my hip, but I know its fybromyalgia from the stress rearing its head again, so the bottle of painkillers is out.......

Right, off to do the veg for supper, then we have to have a quick tidy and hoover in the sitting room for our guests tonight:

Menu: Roast chicken, roast spuds and parsnip, cauli, carrots, apricot and walnut stuffing, gravy white wine. Apple crumble and custard to follow....

Cheers see you tomorrow chaps, need a quick check on e bay see how my stuff is going...................
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    Hi everyone

Just a quick hello. I haven't been on the OS board for a few days, been very busy sorting out a few things. Did a massive shop yesterday covering Asda, Lidl, Iceland and Tesco. That will keep us going for a few weeks.

We couldn't find the cleaning product, Stardrops, which is very popular on MSE. We live in NI, I wonder if it is only available on mainland UK. I will be posting a query anyway but I would appreciate any comments.

Hope everyone has a good weekend

    :)

The others are right Moggins, you deserve a bit of good news, enjoy it.

Well I've been to Tescos, sorted sons glasses (they used pair off shelf so didn't have to wait for them to be ordered) Got some of the shopping I needed. Will update my total soon, it was my last spend of the month as I have all I need now, don't think I went over budget (I was really naughty, took no notice of what it cost and handed card over, I haven't even checked the receipt yet :o )

Ended up with an arguement with DP before he left for work, but I am not going to back down this time! Getting a bit sick of his selfish attitude. It's all about him all the time and it's driving me insane. Will 'discuss' it with him tomorrow.

Anyway, shall try not to let it spoil my day, been looking through photos and memory box, doesn't seem like 2 minutes since DS2 was born. Thanks to those for the birthday wishes, I have shown him them, he loves the picture of the cake :rotfl: I've had to print that message out for him.

Jackie that is great news about Tilly Grace, pleased to hear she is doing well :) well done to your Grandson aswell, sounds like he's put a lot of work in.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Good Afternoon everyone.
Today started later than i wanted it too because my OH let me lie in - he has now recovered from having pleurisy for the whole of january so I have earned it after playing nursemaid since New Year!!!!
But bit annoyed that nothing will get done again today - I had huge de cluttering plans!
Kind Thoughts being sent to everyone who is poorly or tired or having family problems or having to work:grouphug:
Essex-Girl - I have same relationship with my 11 year old DS. You could have been describing him:eek: It is really draining and frustrating.
Moggins - I am pleased for you that financially things are settling - don't feel guilty - your news has made me feel more positive that things can only get better!!!
Well I am going to go and do something more productive than watching My EBay!!!! will start by putting away last nights ironing, then am tackling a ginger chicken curry recipe from a Good Food mag. Tomorrow is a new day and I intend to be up bright and early to do all my chores.
Enjoy the rest of your day

Hello again every-one. Well after i came here the first time moaning about the housework,i went into the kitchen to find our poor bunny had got stuck between an end cupboard/unit and the wall. He was very scared and truly stuck. We had no option but to dismantle the unit so we could get him out. I had to get the other half to do this and he was most put out. You should have seen the mess after.(The unit was destroyed) I spent the next few hours clearing up and decided to de-clutter whilst i was there. I have just finished and must say the kitchen looks way better.I have moved the table down to the end and it looks alot bigger that way.The only trouble is i have too much rubbish to go into my bin and they dont take anything that isnt sitting in your bin , in my area. So what started out as a crisis ended up improving things. Its put me in the mood to carry on decluttering.Rare motivation.
Moggins well done on your extra money, enjoy it.
Jackie O , congrats to your grandson on passing his 11 plus.Glad to hear Tillie grace is doing so well.
Right, i am off to check a few things on ebay and hopefully carry on with the sorting/decluttering.bye for now.

    Afternoon All
Well it's taken me 4 attempts to catchup with you news of the day. Great to hear your good news Moggins. Commisserations & hugs to others who are not feeling good. Birthday wishes to all +DS/DD's and DGS/GDD's.
Kyle - Maybe being a bit of a newbie saying someing already said, but couldn't DH/OH looking after the kids while you have an early night and catch up on some sleep. We used to do it that way round as I am a lark and early mornings aren't a problem to me. Our DS alway awoke at 6 am, but that suited our work routine.

How I only need 6 hours but when he was small 8 was a must.
