  • ;) Morning all! Bit later today. I was wide awake at 5am, but managed to get back off. Up at 7 and took the children to swim club. DH has taked DS to a footie match in the next county. It's an hour away, but DS will be well warmed up after the swimming.

All 4 Penguins off with a group of 25 friends to a Ceilidh tonight. We'll also know most of the other people there. Can't wait - it's the biggest annual local event for us. I intend to dance every dance, with a wide range of friends :D;) The local farmers' wives lay on a marvellous spread, and there's always far too much, so doggie bags to take home, too

We have several friends staying over, so I'm making some welsh cake dough to cook freshly tomorrow, and a batch of blueberry muffins (frozen blueberries half price in Tesco atm).

Have a great Saturday, Penny. x

    Hi to all this morning,
Things are not brilliant at the moment, as both myself and DS (3yrs) are suffering with some type of colf/flu bug. Thought it might of been the start of chickenpox (rife in DS playgroup), but not sure, as I have it as well. Anyhow, enough of me moaning on.
Have listed a few things on ebay, as part of my declutter and plan on getting some washing done later. Hope you all have a good start to the weekend.

    Best Wishes ...POwie

sorry i know this is the wrong place but are there any BGs on?

Im having trouble with my pm's - it says ive got 49 stored messages but ive only got 23 in there? how do i clear it? can anyone help? I have posted on the questions board but no answers.

Hi, Shez, select all the messages in your inbox. Scroll down and you get a drop-down box. Select *download as TEXT* and you can then store your messages where you like. Then go back to the drop down box, whilst they're all selected, and *delete* them.

You can then do the same with your out box.

    Is that OK?

So many of you seem to be having rotten days lately so I'm sending a group hug to all of you ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((huggles))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I feel very guilty as things seem to have picked up for us lately and life is going quite well (touch wood). DH got the notification of his pay award this morning and it is just enough to put us back on what we were on before he took a pay cut to do this job but not enough to tip us over the edge for WTC. It now means that he won't have to do any more overtime if he doesn't want to do it :D

It's also backdated for a year and so we will be getting approx £1800 extra in Februarys pay packet., I have already found the majority of the money for the shower so this will pay for the leak in the roof to be fixed and pay some off the credit card and put a little bit away for our holiday in May.

In fact things are going so well I am starting to get worried here :(

So moggins is sending out good luck vibes to everyone, you get back what you give out in life.
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

    Morning gassers :D

Moggins you enjoy the money hun you deserve it and it wont be long before you are wondering how you ever managed without your lovely new shower - I'm a bit like Rzl in that I cant remember the last time I had a bath at home, I do have a bit of soak sometimes when Im in a hotel but thats their hot water eh!!!:D

PP - You are an amazing lady and deserve all the hugs in the world - have a lovley time at your sisters hope you get thoroughly spoiled:A

Hugs to everyone else needing one - I dont know some of you manage on the amount of sleep you seem to get - Im a waste of time if I get 6 hours instead of 8:eek:

So this morning I have made a beef in beer casserole which is now maturing away in the SC!! I am still doing my freezer emptying and last night dragged out some gorgeous aberdeen angus braising steak I had got from costco last year - only problem is I am getting things out making something then having to freeze a big load of it so its one step forward two steps back at the moment - ah well Ill get there eventually I guess.

Today I am taking a friend of mine out to lunch - I worked with her years ago
when I worked at the local pub - she was 20 and a pub manager so she was my boss:D anyway she is now 23 and has just found out she is pregnant again which will be number 3 in as many years. I think she is a bit down as money is tight for them and she was telling me that this time nobody has really congratulated her in fact its been more commiseration on getting caught again:confused: She has two boys and is having a little girl so she is over the moon. I know this is not going to be easy for her but she is a wonderful mum and I know she will cope really well. Anyway I am treating her and her DS2 to lunch whilst DS1 stays with dad should be fun:D

Ok as that post fits well with the title "gasser" I had better go and get ready for out.

    Have a lovely weekend everyone
    Hugs

Hello all - been ages since I got around to posting here but I do read the thread!

Hugs to everyone who needs them.

Been quite industrious here this morning - DH is back from a fortnight in the US with work on Monday so I have to hide my fortnight of slovenly living:rotfl: Weekly bathroom clean done this morning - it's my one attempt at a Flylady-type organisation - Tesco shop done, bins emptied, soup on for lunch. Washing machine also going, although I'm amazed at how little washing I need to do living on my own - maybe I just smell!

I'm making my last credit card payment on Tuesday! Our finances (touch wood!) are in their best state for a while and I feel we're making real progress. This snowballing lark is great - now all my spare cash is going onto DH's loan which will now be cleared in a blink of an eye :T The new job has really helped as well, and life in general is treating us great at the moment. Hooray!

    Hiya :hello:

PP - (((hugs))) for you hun and take care :D

:bdaycake: to all the littlies (and OSers etc) with birthdays today.

I'm still in my DG, although my lie in never happened. Boys were loud, Mr TM was snoring, then man came to fix Sky box. It's the one thing I took a 5 year extended warranty out on and it's just paid for itself as he's had to replace the box :D Just handed over a set of hair clippers to a freecycler, so really must get dressed soon.

I'm off out tonight to a Burns night. Mr TM will be wearing his kilt (yes, really) and I have a lovely burgundy red velvet dress. Need to find my shoes and make sure I have suitable tights etc and I'm all set. Will be doing my cleaning then starting the beautifying later. Friend next door is babysitting. Haven't had a posh night out in ..... oooh, can't remember when :j

So, BM is on, as is DW. WM will be being filled soon and I shall be whizzing round with my microfibre cloths shortly (after attiring myself in that pink velour leeeesure suit that MIL gave me  ) Boys are in town woth MR TM so I have a couple of hours to get on - best not waste them.

Have a lovely day, one and all

    TM xxx
