Hi, this is the Daily Thread for sat 27th jan. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Well no surprises i am up early again! really hate it that lo doesnt sleep, wakes at 4am now, getting worse, tried everything, he is the same as ds2 was:eek: he never slept either!
I am going to have a sleep today as i feel awful, theres only so much tiredness i can take!
Got a fridge lock yesterday, so far so good:D cant see it lasting though:eek:
Got some of our spending money for florida exchanged into dollars:j so will recieve them in a few days:T
plans today:
Have a sleep
Check on my yoghurt ( been in 6 hours but not set, so will leave longer)
Clean up
Cant think of anything else at mo, not thinking straight:rotfl:
Hugs
Kyle

Morning. Almost missed the thread today. Hidden away No capitals.
Sorry you can't sleep. Wait till you get to Florida, then you will be on a different time clock and waking up at 2am ready to start the day. I used to find that going there was the worst for that..... Anyway. should be fun.
Meanwhile I have to go to work today. 2 weekends in 4 is not too bad I suppose, I stayed up last night painting my daughters bedroom, second coat tonight.
Well I can't say too much. It's just work at the moment.NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
Morning everyone
Can't sleep. Had argument with DB last night. My brother, sisters and myself are buying my parents' council house for them. We each have to put in a certain amount of money. My DB and Dsis are all married and both them and their partners are working full-time. I'm on my own and work part-time and receive WTC and CTC. So my situation isn't quite like theirs. I now find that they have been arranging will-writing services, solicitors, etc without my input. (They all live in Scotland and I'm down in England) They don't seem to be shopping around for the most competitive quotes so I find that the money I need to raise is going up and up. I'm now getting worried about the amount of debt I'm getting myself into to do this. Told DB this last night. Unfortunately we couldn't talk for long as he was going out so apparently we will "talk" tomorrow night. I'm just so angry that I haven't been asked for my input before the decisions have been made. Sorry, rant over. I just needed to get this off my chest as I don't want to cause an atmosphere when I speak to my parents today.
Off to have some tea and do some more thinking. Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday. x"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Morning everyone
(((anniebooklover))) I hope you get things resolved tonight.
Can't stay long, as usual. I'm on my 19th (I think) consecutive day at work and keeping my eyes open is getting to be incredibly difficult. Sadly it's the sort of job where you have to go flat out while there, there is no let up at all. My sleep patterns are getting crazy, sugar levels are way too high, thank goodness this is the last week of this hell. Pass the matchsticks someone
I AM going to make a batch of carrot and corriander soup before I go and take some with me for lunch. Last week's meal plan went out the window so I'm going to think out this weeks one on the way into the office.
Hugs to all who would like one
Right, time I was chopping carrotsMy first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

Morning guys
Had a fairly early night last night, watched BB and that was about it!
today OH is now working so our plans have changed, were supposed to be going to Harrods but we will go tomorrow now so today I am popping into town with my nephew and perhaps we can have a coffee in Tchibo and have a mooch about. Weigh in day for me tomorrow and for some reason I feel bloated so I must just stick to boiled water and lemon juice to drink I find that does the trick!
Have some housework to do but not too much, nephew still sleeping so I can't take henry for a walk round the front room:D
Have a good day everyone x0 -
Morning everyone.
DD woke me nice and early too!! Watching big cook little cook at 7am isnt good!!
Kyle when we got to florida we were so tierd ( almost 24 hours of traveling with 4 kids arhhh), we said we will just have a nap then go and check out the local area around the hotel. This was at 4pm their time, we woke up at 6am the next day!!!! And our body clock was ok from then in!!! LOL
Off to footy later, kick off at 11am, then ds2 is off to sleep over at a friends house.
Plan to sweep up outside now its not as wet, and maybe nip into town?
Have a good day everyone

Good morning all
Kyle - hope you feel better soon, definately sounds like you need the sleep.
anniebooklover - hope you manage to get it all sorted
Lots to do today for me. Intending to get the post office / shopping / library done first thing this morning. Need to check what time they all open, the other week I got to the library 30 mins before it opened - doh! Am going to take a quick look in Lidl's see if they have any seeds I want, as it's only 5 minutes down the road from the postoffice, and then stop at the fruit and veg guy on the way home. There's quite a few charity shops on the way, so I might take a look and see if any of them have any good books.
A mate is coming over later to help finish hanging the doors, so hopefully we shall have a bedroom door that shuts properly for the first time since we bought this house 2 years ago - yayOnce they've finished I'm going to to sand down the filler and paint the wall from were we took down the hanging rail. It's only been a year and I'm now fed up with looking at this white patch on our nice deep red walls.
Hugs to all and hope you have a good dayDebts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
Morning everyone
(((anniebooklover)))
Well my dd is 3 today.....and she's fast asleep! I am going to wake her soon and then the fun will begin. We decorated downstairs for her last night and it looks lovely so I can't wait to see her face.
Everyone is still coughing and spluttering so we can't do anything too amazing today. We are having a little tea party later when some family pop over and she is having a big party in a few weeks time with her brother, so there is not much else to report I am afraid.
Mrs Mix I did laugh yesterday at you saying your surname, You are now truly our "resident nutter" (will have to think of another name for Nelski)
Have a lovely day and hugs all round0
