Is it possible to salvage some of the chicken and veg as the salt will be in the sauce at this stage rather than seeping into the chicken - sorry that's all I can think of.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Sept - Grocery spends = £ 21.770 -
the chicken and everything is in it already sadly .... from what i have found online it suggests a few things ... a raw potato, doubling the quantities ( will need to go shopping again
) and adding sugar ... not sure if any of them work though

You may not save it as it is, but don't chuck it!!!!!
Change it by adding a tin of tomatoes to half the mixture, if you have them, and half a teaspoon of sugar which does wonders to counteract the saltiness.
Use the other half by adding a generous helping of natural yoghurt. Cook some spuds in chunks, and add those when they are cooked.
If it was me, I would do what I could with a bit of the curry tonight, with either coconut cream, yoghurt or tomatoes, have a small amount with a larger quantity of rice, and freeze the rest in small portion to make up with other ingredients at a later date.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. I've used up my eggs forgetting that I needed them to use up the banana's in banana bread - how best can I freeze the bananas for use another day? As is, skinned but whole or skinned & mushed up?
Thanks, C xx0 -
You can freeze bananas with the skins on but they go black on the outside - if you don't mind that they'll be fine inside.Grocery challenge September 2022: £230.04/£200

What do I put them in? A freezer bag or foil or something? Not sure I have a tupperware big enough for 6/7 bananas!

Definitely peel them first. Too fiddly to get the skins off after you freeze them I just wrap each one in a skinny bit of cling film.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
