There's a lot of fantasists on the internet.

Anyone loaded wouldn't come on here asking people like us financial advice - they have personal financial advisers for that!:rotfl:

I don't think any of the Dragons or Branson would be on here asking us for help:rotfl::rotfl:

But as you say, £250k is nothing these days. Certainly wouldn't last you very long if you lived on it.:money:

    :cool:that's just one account:T..there more....:rotfl:
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

£250k and a house, and you call that loaded?

    You must live ooop north!

That's not loaded by most people's standards. IF you have got that it's probably been inherited from a PROPERTY after they popped their cloggs!:p

People who are rich - and I'm talking RICH - not a piddly £250k in the bank (remember inflation!) they don't consider themselves rich until they've got a minimum of £10MILLION.

And they never brag about it - it's only those who aren't used to money who do. Or those who feel inadequate in some way:D

You are the one who said i was skint without a house and keep saving for my deposit.....you is a buffoon...wrong on all fronts you waster..keep working...:T

  • Brit condemns people who want to live in nice houses (he does if you read between the lines) yet he wants to live in one of the best areas in the world. He's a little jumped up snob living in what are effectively staff quarters, sharing the kitchen, bathroom etc, just so he can tell people he lives in Chelsea!:p I bet he doesn't tell them he lives in a funded home hidden away from all the beautiful grand properties!:p

I suspect Brit's a caretaker in those lodgings. Even though almost anyone can become a policeman these days I think even Brit's too daft to get into the force.
  • Not a bad idea. As a London FTB I would find it useful if there was a sub board for London and the South East (and another Scotland?), or at the very least require people who post to state the region they live in on their profile.

I agree it would be a brill idea. Just today there was an article in the newspapers saying how London and the South East are holding their prices, while the rest of the country is a different story altogether.

A sub forum would be a great idea. You can't compare London and the South East with the rest of the UK.

It would be indeed. Just yesterday there was an article in the paper showing how property has fallen this year in much of the counry, while in London and the South East it's actually risen.
  • Well it is clear that the UK newspaper announced in November that the house price index is increase by the demand and on this the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) Says !

“It is encouraging that buyer interest has edged upwards in the face of the endless diet of negative news from Europe and the turmoil in financial markets,” RICS spokesman Alan Collett said in a statement. “However, a meaningful recovery still seems some way off.”
  • If you are interested and want to get more information related to buy info and mortgage rates !
  • best of luck and hopeful to be better journey.

The scary thing is that I actually do believe that he is a copper. Frightening to think of a genius like that keeping the peace on the streets of London.
