Gosh thats a lot for the car :( Just think of it as an outgoing and definitely cheaper than buying a new one :)

Supermarket bill isn't too bad at £234. Mine is going to be around £100 this month but last month was a mega shop month and I had a huge stock up of the freezer. £100 is literally just bread, milk, sandwich meat, crisps, fruit, biscuits. Nothing substantial like veg, meat etc. - the months where I do a big freezer shop the bills are much higher. Its hard to compare to other people as we all shop in different ways.

    Tired!

Went out for dinner last night with the house guests, put my quibbles behind me and had a lovely evening.

London today for a meeting - caught an early train back so not too much of a long day. Tied the meeting in with the same train that the house guests were taking so did a tearful farewell at the station.

Went past the Ugg store and decided that I would try on the Ugg boots hoping that i didn't like them. Excellent result - impossible to get your feet in to them without being double jointed and when I finally manipulated by poor foot in to the boot they weren't comfy around the toe. Couldn't have hoped for a better result.

Dinner tonight is reheated frozen curry (egg curry without the eggs) - with added chickpeas and cauliflower. Smells lovely and looking forward to enjoying a bowlful soon once Ds2 has gone to bed. Jammies and a bottle of wine are calling my name.

Garage bill ended up at £347 and we just need to buy 2 tyres, so not quite as bad as I was expecting.

Oh no to car repair bill:( :(:(

Hurray to ill-fitting Uggs though:T At least you know and wasted no money whatsoever:D

Hope you get lots off £££££'s on your bags. You are being so sensible and when that mortgage disappears, you can buy lots of lovely new bags X

  • Lula, you did well..... going trying stuff on is sometimes the easiest way of talking yourself out of buying things - i end up grumpy sometimes , but then smile inside - you can use the pennies you were going to spend as an OP!!!!

Natty's right - once you are MF you can buy as many bags as your heart desires!!!!!!!!

    Anything else on flebay? x

Natty/Moneycurious - thank for popping by.....

Very happy that the Uggs were no good, and you're right - without trying them on I would have been pining after them for no good reason, so I'm pleased they are out of my system now.

I have 3 items on eBay - 2 have bids and the other one has a few watchers. They finish tomorrow, so will need to get them wrapped and ready to post.

I've also got one of my bags listed. I did have a couple listed but decided to do one at a time. Hopefully, once one of them is sold I'll be happy and wont feel the need to sell another one or two for the time being. The trouble with them is that they are fairly sought after and can never be replaced once they are gone, so I don't want to have sellers remorse.

Went and did the supermarket shopping this morning, already got a few meals in the freezer, so just needed to buy all of the things for a weeks worth of packed lunches for DH and DS, fruit and veg, milk, bread eggs etc and washing liquid, dishwasher tablets etc. Spent £44 in Aldi and £14 in Tesco. So, now up to around £292 for the month.....

Roast chicken for dinner - just popped the oven on. Left overs will be used to make a spicy chicken rice concoction for DH and I on Tuesday.

I'm going for an early dinner with a friend tomorrow. There's a fancy restaurant in a local hotel that do a £11.95 for 2 course dinner special if you eat before 7pm in the week. The food is lovely although I haven't eaten there for years as it's quite posh, but at that price, I'm happy to go, although I've told her I wont be drinking as its about £7 for the smallest and cheapest glass of wine. I'll be having a tap water, lol!!

I was starving (otherwise known as feeling greedy) last night whilst watching xfactor and came very close to ordering half a cripsy duck and pancake rolls from the local chinese - DH had agreed to go and collect it, I dialled the number, it rang once, and I then I decided to be good, so instead I had a glass of dilute juice and a packet of salt and vinegar crisps. Dh had a bowl of fruitloops and ds1 had a bowl of homemade noodles.

Off to cook now so will catch up on diaries later tonight....

Fake Uggs are seriously comfy though and a fraction of the price :)

Good luck with your eBaying, it all helps :) How much do you love your bag? With the money you could buy another beautiful one which was brand new?

Well done for your food virtues last night, that is really very impressive!!!

Hi Ammonite - I have a pair of Uggs already which are still going strong, so I don't need anymore (fake or otherwise!).......

If I manage to sell this bag on eBay, I wont be buying another one with the money - I'll just save it or OP it. I was a designer handbag freak before I joined the forum, so I still have a few in reserve (giggles to self and wonders whether 7 can pass for a few).

Working from home most of the week - might have a quick meeting tomorrow.... Lots of phone calls and chasing to do, so I should be able to keep myself nice and busy.

Payday tomorrow, so can do some money shuffling.

Meeting my sister for a shopping day on Saturday. Train to pay for and money for lunch, coffee etc. I only have a few bits left to buy for Christmas, so I don't think I'll be going wild and supporting the economy too much this weekend.

    Confessions:
I just ordered myself a new coat and a pair of sheepskin gloves. Oooops

Two of my items on ebay will definitely sell tomorrow, the other one has some watchers so no idea whether any of them will be tempted to bid.
Bag is BIN, I've got 10 watchers at the moment, who knows whether any of them will be tempted in to buying?!
I've found my baby monitor that I had for DS2, so will list that later. It's a BT Digital something or other and they seem to be selling for £20+ so that will go towards my bit of spending.

I'm a fussy moo plus I always get post purchase blues (when the guilt sets in) - so there's every chance that my purchases may end up being returned (free returns and free delivery).

Just enjoyed a rather lovely lunch..... I kept the left overs from my cauliflower/broccoli cheese, roast pots and mushy peas and just fried it all up in a bit butter - very yummy indeed! Feels so good not to waste anything
