  • Yippee its Friday :j ..........but I broke a mirror this morning:(

OH has text me to say the gears on his bike have broken, not sure of the extent of the damage. He's going to chase up the 'Bike2Work' scheme through work today.

Put £30 petrol on my car yesterday, paid childminder, put some money on dinner money card for DS2 and have given DS1 money to get some sausages from the butchers for breakfast tomorrow morning.

Still using up all the stuff in the freeze but we are now down to the oddities!

I've got this urge to go shopping. I think it could be because the freezer is practically empty and because I have a bizzare relationship with food, if the cupboards/fridge/freezer start to look empty I panic. I'm thinking I should be going food shopping when the reality is is that we don't need anything at the moment. :(

I am exactly the same about food and cupboards...love the look of bulging cupboards...but at the moment trying not to spend so they are looking fairly empty..feels quite relaxing actually..surprisingly so!!! May have to have space on the larder more often!!

Thanks brizzle, the kids are alway hungry......growing lads!!......it doesn't take long for them to empty the cupboards. :D

We have a family birthday today and our house has been nominated as a meet-up point tonight, so need to sort some food out.:):(

Still only on 11 NSDs. Will pop to the supermarket this morning with a very small shopping list......which we WILL stick to. ;)

Although still chilly out there at least we have a bit of sun today. xx

Aaah picnmix..I am about to see a friend who I have agreed to go halves on C8stco sign up fee on... but havent done as yet so will remind her and set a date!!

I love the idea of bulk buying..do it for cleaning stuff, kitchen rolls, washing powder, DW tablets, loo rolls (I store them in my loft until needed! caused untold hilarity on another thread when I admitted that!) and bread flour. We also buy a sack of basmati rice from the local Indian supermarket....BUT I hate the way I spend so much on food even when I already have a lot..its like some kind of comic addiction. I am the same on toiletries..although have restrained myself massively on that one in recent months.

    have a great eve

    Hi Alice,

Sounds like youve had a busy week. I also find it hard not to dash out and buy things when stocks are low!

    Enjoy the family party xx

  • Well can you believe it.......I've pegged out today :) All the snow has gone so I've got 3 loads on the line. It's really windy and the sun is out so should dry quite a bit.

DS2 started winter cricket training today (which we had forgotten about :(), his subs were £45 for the whole 12 weeks or 2 lots of £25, we've had to go with the 2 lots of £25. But it's better than the third option which was £5 per week.

We managed to keep to the list when we went shopping yesterday, and we had a great evening too. The only overspend was on the birthday cake so keeping up appearances and all that spent an extra £8.

I've already done some ironing this morning. Once OH comes back fom cricket we're going to clean the car inside and out, kids need to clean football/rugby boots, must sort out garage it's turned into a right dumping ground this week. I'm also going to try and get some stuff on fleabay......... I really don't like selling stuff on there but going to get on with it.:o

    Still on 11NSDs, 20p pot upto £12.80 and £2 pot is at £16.00. :)

and OH managed to fix his bike but still going to chase up the bike2work scheme at work.

Right off to do meter readings then get some jobs done.....have a good day. xx

  • Well I've managed to get some stuff on fleabay :D, only 6 items but its a start.......they took me over an hour to put on.

Car cleaned inside and out, kids did their boots and the garage is tidy. OH found some more stuff to list and I know we should put it on today as it is free listing weekend but I can only cope with 6 items at a time.:(

Washing dried very well, just airing it then will iron after dinner.
