  • Hi Alice

Have been keeping up with your diary for ages. You started off just as I feel now, keeping the payments up to date, but slowly drowning in it all. I am impressed how well you have done this year and will follow your diary as an inspiration.

Will be glad when its New Year is over and its back to normal so I can make inroads on our debt too.

    Happy New Year

Aw thanks milly, we've certainly come a long way in 12months. I'm back at work tomorrow so back to reality. Good luck with reducing your debt, you can do it. xx

    Happy New Year Alice xx

Thanks mummy, and the same to you and your family.xx

  • Happy New Year!!!

We got off to a bad start this morning. :( We went out last night to our friends party took DS2 and DS3 and had a fab time. So because we were late back we all had a lie in (which is rare with DS3), got up about 9.30am. I sorted the dog and cats and OH put the kettle on.....get the picture, domestic bliss.

I then decided to start the the ironing, and after OH had had his breakfast I asked him if he would sort out the paperwork from the side in the kitchen that I had thrown into a plastic bag on Christmas Eve when I was getting everything ready. Well he sort of tutted and said yes but with attitude, so I went off at one, asked him why it was such a problem as I would be ironing right next to the table to help him etc etc, to which he replied he didn't have a problem with doing it (which he obviously did)............won't bore you with rest as I'm sure you get the picture.

Its the same old story that although he is on board with this debt busting I'm sure he thinks its going to 'bust' itself, which of course it is not.

Anyway sorry to ramble on but it didn't spoil the day, had my parents and his parents around for lunch and had a great afternoon.

Back to work tomorrow :( but today was NSD1 :rotfl:

    xx

Hello Alice. Have spent a few days reading your diary on here and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. Very inspiring and fun along the way :)

Just a thought too btw, why not get your OH to do the ironing next time. He might change his mind and love doing the paperwork then ;)

I did have to wake DS3 up and he was so cosy in bed, it did make me feel a bit bad having to do it, bless him. Not looking to Monday when we all have to get up and get out the door by a set time.:(

  • I noticed that DS1 had got some post from Bcard, now I don't normally bother with DS1s post but I was intrigued. He's just opened it and its an application form for a Bcard credit card. I would say that is the last thing he needs at the moment so it's gone straight through the shredder.

Today was NSD3 and we've had the heating off for the last 48hrs.:) Hope its dry tomorrow so I can peg out.

Its nearly Friday already, I could get used to these 3 day weeks.
