After having a great couple of days I feel like I've come back down to earth with a bump..........I've just done our 12 month DMP review with CCCS/Step Change. Nothing has really changed with the money side of things so the monthly payment will stay the same until March when the car will be loan will be finished.
For the last 48hours the house has been buzzing and now that all the visitors have gone, DS1 at work, DS2 on his new game console, OH and DS3 putting leg0 together and I'm feeling a bit 'lost'. Mind you I've got plenty of clearing up to do, some lovely presents to put away and of course I could always do some ironing :rotfl:
Could do with a bit of sunshine me thinks, weather is pants here today.
Hope everybody has had a fab Christmas.xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

don't be disheartened Alice. You're doing great, you've cleared around 9% of your debt in a year! If that doesn't sound enough in actual terms consider what your debt would have been if you hadn't had your lightbulb moment. I bet it would probably be £3000 the other way! So really you're doing twice as well
The important thing is it's moving in the right direction and hopefully it will go much faster after your hp is finished.
Happy Christmas btw0 -

Thanks trish, so very true, its a scary thought where we'd be if I haven't had my LBM and thank you for working out the % (I haven't a clue).
Once the hp money goes to paying off our debt it should bring our DFD to about 5years!!

Hi Alice,
I know what you mean about the after Christmas lull, im sure everyone pretty much feels the same. I always just cant wait to get to the end January to get paid again haha!!!
Im glad youve done the DMP thing and nothing much has changed. What do they do once the car loan finishes, add that amount onto what you pay each month.
I still cant get over how fast those car payments have come down to 3, hence why ive done the same in my signature.
Friday tomorrow... eeekkkk where did the week go?! xxMummytogirls x0 -
mummy I know payday seems ages away.......mind you haven't the payments on the car come down quick
. Once they have finished that money will go straight to the DMP
.
We went out today to change some Christmas presents (wrong size), got a few bits of food (still need to do meal plan), managed to get Christmas cards and wrapping paper in the sale (saved £7.50), also got some birthday presents (not in the sale tho). Had to get a TV bracket for DS1, which we got from A1di.
So bit of spend day but think I'm on 10 NSDs for the month.
We've had a problem with the shower, OH had a look today, couldn't take the valve out so will take the whole thing to the local independant plumbers merchants tomorrow morning (spoke to them today, very helpful), fingers crossed nothing too costly.
DS2 has had his friends round this afternoon to play on his new games console, they stayed for tea which was jackets, cheese, beans and the last of the ham that was left over. Before our LBM we would of had a takeaway and it would of cost a small fortune. But there were still clean plates all round and it used up the leftovers.:)
Tomorrow morning I'm going to clean upstairs and sort out all these lovely presents we had, we are out tomorrow night at a football club 'do' probably take about £30 (which should be more than enough). Sunday going to take the decs down and clean downstairs. Still need to get some shoes for work so will probably do that on monday.
Wow this week has just flown by.......don't want to wish time away but I can't wait for the 1st Januaryxx

Shower all sorted
, cost £52.50
, have taken that out of the emergency fund.
Have ironed all the clothes that were dry, still got one small airer out though........where's the sunshine so I can peg out.....I know I'm sad
Now DS1 and DS2 are up I can sort upstairs out, they do their own bedrooms though.
Need to do meal plan and update spending diary. xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17
