Well I'm sitting here with a colour on my hair which I picked up for £3.50 (its a L'0real one) from the cheapy shop, remembering how I used to think nothing of spending £60 a go for a colour, cut and blow dry at the hairdressers:eek:........ wow how things have changed
We have had a hectic couple of days so I haven't been on here much. It was payday yesterday, yippee and I had a little spend in sburys as they had 25% off, and I needed some new casual trousers as the ones I have are beyond repair now. Also picked up DS3 another jumper for school (without school logo but luckily the school are OK about that) as one if his has already gone walkabouts.
I called in to A1di and the butchers this morning so that will put Septembers food budget at £400ish, thats terrible really as we should be closer to the £300-£325 mark. Roll on October when we can start again.
Petrol spends for September have come in at £140, not as much as I thought now we are down to one car.
3 loads of washing pegged out

I have updated spending diary/budget tonight. Still looking very lean.

Pinot, the note about the Eskimo did make me smile. To be honest the headache has gone but I'm shattered this week. Looking forward to the weekend.
I've had a letter from the car loan people, it confirms that we only have 6 payments left on the loan.:j Just £1281.83 to pay
We also a bank statement from one of our 'old'accounts, the one with the £700 overdraft we are only paying £7.81 off each month.
DS2 has worn a hole in his 'playing out/sport' trainers so they will have to be replaced at the weekend. Max spend £25.
Today was a spend day - childminder, works lottery and cash for dinner money and after school club but have managed 3 NSD so far this month.
Running low on fruit, milk, sandwich stuff so will have to call into supermarket tomorrow night. I'm going to really try hard and keep the food budget under control this month.
xx

Hi Alice,
Yay to only having 6 months left on the car, it doesnt feel like 2 mins ago since you had 15!
Well done on still having the heating off thats fab :T.
Have a lovely weekend xxMummytogirls x0 -
Thanks mummy, I know doesn't time fly. Once its paid then that money will go to CCCS towards the dept so that should bring out DFD closer
We decided to do a 'big' shop last night split btwn A1di and sburys. Apart from usual milk, fruit, veg and breat etc we [STRIKE]should[/STRIKE] will be OK for at least 2 weeks.
Have updated spending diary and we have £401 left in the account, we have DDs of £346 to come out between now and next Wed, then OH gets paid again (£250) and we have a DD of £214 to pay, that should leave £91 to pay childerminder, petrol and any food bits we need until the following Thursday when OH gets paid.......not as many DDs towards the end of the month so hopefully can put some money in the 'pots'.
I've got some £2 coins to bank, I think I've saved £281 so far this year. I will carry on saving them, the amount grows really quickly.:)
Off to do housework, looking forward to our cinema night tonight and as we will be all in the same room i wonder if we will still be able to leave the heating off......:rotfl:
