  • We have managed another NSD today - number 12.:)

I have also bought some bits of ebay, a scarf for a Christmas present, a top for my works Christmas do and a chair for DS2s bedroom, total spend inc any postage - £11.75.

I have been trying to get a particular games console (old style) for DS3s Christmas present, DS2 has got the same one but it has broken and I have seen them on ebay for spares/repairs going for £20ish. I have put a top bid on for a good one at £30 but have just been pipped to the post 3 times this afternoon.

Will put DS2s broken one on ebay this week. I've also got some more stuff to go in the local paper this week and on ebay.....I keep saying this I must just get on with it!!!

Also ordered some more flea stuff from vetuk website - £20.00.

So even without leaving the house I have been spending money today.

I don't know about gaining an hour today I feel like I have lost 2hours, very strange. xx

    Hi

Are you able to say what console you want as I am sure some of us on here might have one.

I know that I have quite a few old stylee as I am too lazy to get rid of them :rotfl:
  • Thanks EE, we are looking for a N1nt3ndo DS, doesn't have to be the lite version or the new 3D one, just a standard one and as long as it is not pink.......there seems to be an abundance of these:rotfl:

Also updated spending diary, OH was off today and took the kids to the park so spent £1.70 on parking and and then McD's £18ish for 4.
I'm off work tomorrow, going to outdoor activity centre with some friends and their kids, cost £33 for our tickets. I did suggest bowling but....... :(. Will take a packed lunch. :)

  • What a day.....[STRIKE]i'm[/STRIKE] we're exhausted :). We've had a great day with friends. The only downside to today was that I had to get petrol on the way back (it was about an hours drive away).

Not sure if tomorrow will be a NSD but still currently on 11NSDs for the month.:o

We have recieved letters to say our 2 YOrkshire Bank accounts have been passed in collection agencies. Still waiting for Bcard and Santander to pass their outstanding balances on.

I've checked our outstanding balance on our DMP and we are at £32415, we've paid £2,600ish so far this year. Once the car is paid off we will be able to pay £480 a month towards the outstanding balance :). xx

  • Thanks brizzle, today was indeed a NSD so ended up with 12 NSDs for October.:D

I have called Sky tonight as our 'half price line rental' deal is due to end middle of November. They can't offer me any other deal until this one has ended, so will call again on the 10th November and see what we can sort out.

The on going saga of DS1s car continues. We got a 2nd opinion on the oil leak today and it looks like its to do with the work we've had done, so will take it back to the garage and see what they say. Hopefully it won't cost us/DS1 anything.....fingers crossed.

It coming up to the anniversary of our LBM and although there is still loads of room for improvement on our spending I think we've come along way. Although OH was in a bad mood tonight, more frustration than anything I think (I hope anyway!!) with the car and I think he's just tired. :(

Treat or treat all finished now.......not surprised its pouring with rain out there. xx

  • What a performance!!! DS2 brought his mobile downstairs and said that he had had a text which he opened and went onto the internet onto some adult site..........anyway he starts getting texts saying that he is being charged £1.50 per text.
I text 'stop' to the number and called 0range, they gave me another number to unsubscribe from 'the service' which we did but only after receiving 46 texts (@ £1.50 each!!).

OH will contact the company tomorrow to check what we are going to be charged, we've also been given the number of 'Phone Pay +' the industry regulator if we don't get any where with the company.

Needless to say I'm not very happy with DS2 for going into the link on the text and he knows he has done wrong. OH will speak to him tomorrow whilst I'm at work calming down.

  • OH has sorted DS2s mobile mishap. We are going to have to pay for the first couple of text as 'we' went into the link. DS2 has already gone over on his data allowance for the month so he is currently without a mobile phone and no TV in his bedroom and has extra chores.
It may seem a little harsh to some but as we have explained to him there are 2 sides to this, one he went into something totally inappropriate and he can check how much data he has left so no need to go over his allowance. :(

On the money front I have updated spending diary and showed OH where we are at. He gets holiday pay in next weeks pay packet but we can't work out how his company work it out (nobody where he works can!!) so can't confirm how much he will pick up next week, so I have worked on a 'worse case scenario'. Still haven't been able to increase the emergency fund pot which worries me :(

Paid the last water rates DD today until next April so thats a saving of £63 per month, perhaps I could put that in the emergency fund??!!

Meal plan totally out of the window this week but still a few bits that need eating up so apart from getting milk, potatoes etc will try and hold off doing a big shop.

Top came from Ebay, not sure about it, may put it straight back on ebay but it was a bargain and I don't have anything else to wear to works do.........but I don't want it hanging around if I'm never going to wear it, we'll see.

Well I've rambled on tonight but I feel better for it :rotfl:. The weekend is just around the corner folks.xx

To me that sounds like the perfect solution as you are used to not having this money available to spend and it will also make it easier next April when you have to start paying again.
