  • A very nice colleague of mine has given me some lego that they have collected using tokens from a daily newspaper, nearly the full set! I am going to put them away and give them to DS3 as a stocking filler, but I will get a plastic container for them before hand. Felt quite over whelmed to be honest :o.

We've got sunshine today, although a little fresh out there. I've pegged the sheets and towels out and asked DS2 to get them in when he comes in from school.:)

Also I've got some new work trousers on (from ebay, have been sitting on wardrobe for months) but they are a little tight, so currently sitting bolt upright at my desk frightend to move suddenly, laugh or cough incase I pop the button. Surely this has got spur me on to lose weight!!!:(

  • My diary is 12 months old today, can't believe it. 12 months ago I was in a very dark place, not knowing which way we would turn. Whilst we still have a loooong way to go at least we are on the right track. A big thank you to everybody who has ever posted/read my diary.:A

On the money front we have got a lot of spends coming up this week -

£35 - DS3 swimming lessons (or £37 need to check)
£18 - DS3 after school activities (think we can pay £3 per week, need to check)
£20 - DS2 football subs for new team for November, plus one off fee joining fee £30 (which I believe will be reduced as he's joined 2 months into the season)
    £50 - for childerminder

    Spends today
    £15 - petrol
    36p - cream crackers from A1di

Only had 2NSDs so far this month.
Also need to get some 'stuff' for my hair as it ran out this morning

  • and the spending continues.......I have just been to swap DS3s swimming goggles as we got the wrong size. Whilst I was there i had to get DS2s some new studs for his football boots, spend £3.00.

Went to B00ts to have a look at the hair stuff as i won't get to S/drug until the weekend. They had an offer on the hair stuff 2 for £5 which works out the same as s/drug, also got some face wash for DS2 which was half price £1.99, spend £6.99, but did find out I've got 365 points on my card.....its been ages since I went into B00ts.

Then went to sburys got milk, toilet roll (their basic 6 for £1.99, its the best value for money I've found :D), cake cases, reduced chicken, reduced bread, spread, shampoo x 2 (£1 each) and a few other bits, spend £16.37. Took £10 off nectar points and had £10 cash back so still spent £16.37.

Still need to sort out how we're going to pay other bits. Its OK taking it out of the 'pots' but I can't put it all back easily at the moment. :(
Off to lie down now that I've spent £27 in 45 minutes  xx

Happy Birthday Diary!! Well done for sticking to it Alice

Hope the lie down helped! I know how you feel...managed to spend £120 on a Sainsbos Internet shop this week and despite the fact I used a voucher, got lots of offers and free delivery AND that it will last for a while it did make me feel rather sick..

Thanks brizzle, I know its frightening once you start to list all the 'spends'. This week seems particularly bad :(. There really wasn't anything really extravagent in the trolley but still came to over £16.

    Swimming lessons paid for tonight.

Think I will get up early tomorrow to check how much OH has been paid and update spending diary, well basically check there will be enough to cover DDs.:(

  • I've been on line and checked our account, current balance is £572.34, DDs due over next few days are cccs £261, car £213.88, mobile phones £18ish each for OH and mine, which will leave £60ish to last until next Thursday.

We will need petrol £15-£20, bus money and food. Certainly a challenge for us with the food.

Will update meal plan and write a shopping list tonight. Also do ironing which is piling up, and I've pegged 2 loads out today, hopefully they will dry a bit. Although we have sunshine its a bit fresh out there.

    Better get back to work.xx

    Hi Alice,

  • Thanks mummy, yeah I'm sure it will be fine, I like a challenge. LOL.

Although we got off to a bad start tonight when I asked OH to call into A1di and get some potatoes and he sighed and tutted.

Well all I can say is that I lost it a bit. I was and still am so cross with him. I asked he why he sighed etc, and after all he was going past the store to take DS2 to training. Sometimes he acts this way and I can't tell you how frustrated I get with him.:(

Anyway he's gone out now so just DS3 and me which will give me time to calm down. :(

On a plus note the washing just about dried amd I've ironed it already and put the other stuff in the airing cupboard. :)

And its Friday tomorrow :j xx
