Following you around the diaries tonight Mrs B !
I had a client once that we nicknamed Stormin Norman, I had forgotten all about him until now !
Well done on the baking Alice. I made Jamie's Coconut cakes tonight to go with dinner. They were supposed to be steamed but mine weren't cooking so I shoved them in the oven instead and hoped for the best ! :rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Thank you PWPS, brizzle and Mrs PG. Yesterday was NSD5.
Hope your cake turned out OK Mrs PG. The last of the cakes I made were put in the lunch boxes this morning. Not sure what they'll have as a treat tomorrow.
This has got the be the hardest week so far. I like a challenge but seem to really be struggling emotionally this week, my purse is empty, bank account empty and the pots are down to bear minimum (having borrowed a bit here and there).
I know its only been for a week and some folk aren't as fortunate as we are but will be glad when OH gets paid tomorrow.......not that there will be any money spare!!
We have raided the fridge and freezer, all fresh fuit and veg has gone and the cupboard is looking very empty. But we haven't starved.
In a way its made me even more determinded to get us out of this situation.

Sorry you're low but its not surprising I guess. the novelty (if thats the right word) of trying to be MSE wears off when you are having to really scrimp and save. Its like having a job..and a hard one, time intensive one at that... and around this time of year I am sure it feels worse.
So farI have had a NSD.. even went through an airport this morning but didnt spend a thing!! Hope to keep it up! But have some way to catch you!MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Thanks Brizzle. Keep going with the NSDs, today was also a NSD for me, number 6.
And you are so right about this MSE/Debt busting stuff. Its like having another 'thing' to watch, look out for, keep an eye on etc. Bit I'm going to keep plodding on with it.
We have got some more spends coming up. DS2 has a school trip, £15 needed. Also another collection at work, everybody putting £10/£5 in, made worse by the fact that they write down how much you put in.........to be honest I'd really like to put £2.50, not being nasty but he doesn't even work in my department
I really must do an essentials only shopping list and I will call in to supermarket on my way home tomorrow.
Off for a hot and steamy date with the ironing board.;)

Hope the date went well Alice, mine lasted a good few hours but seems like it will be continuing for the next week at least ! Its never ending, if only a real date went on that long !! :rotfl:
I agree re the MSE, Budget stuff its something else to remember, think about, keep checking and it can be exhausting fitting it in alongside everything else. I got a bit despondent a few weeks back with it all but I seem to be back on track again with it now. Im sure you will feel better in a few days xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Yippee OHs pay day today :j
I've been to sburys and just got some very basic essentials as I haven't finished the meal plan, total spend £15.57
I've put £20 petrol in my car and taken out £30 cash. Out of the cash will pay £15 for DS2s school trip and £5 to works collection (I just can't afford £10). Also OH playing in a charity rugby match on Sunday thats another £5.
Also put £8 on DS2s card for school dinners (£8 was minimum payment, but will cover this week and next) so he can have school dinners tomorrow.
Total spent - £73.57:eek::eek::eek:
Need to pay childerminder for this week and after school club, need to work out how much I owe, about £40 I think.
I really need to start ordering Christmas presents too.:(
Looking forward to the weekend, I'm shattered this week. xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Well I finally got through to Sky. All I could get out of them is 25% off TV package (which is basic), which means that we are only saving £5 per month now. I have enquired about cancelling the TV altogether, that would save £20. It is a luxury item but we don't go out that often I would like to carry on having it. This deal is for 6 months only so we'll see what happens after that.
I went to A1di last night, spent £52.46. To be honest its the first time I've been to A1di and not felt that I'd got value for money as I usually do. I still need to get cereal, potatoes, more milk from sburys.:(
I'm going to our out of town shopping tonight with a friend. Going to check the 3 for 2 deal on the L£go. In-laws want to buy DS3 some for Christmas, if I get it they'll pay me back.
Also had a quote for house insurance due next month. Quote from current insurer £516 for the year:eek: or Sw1inton have got another quote for £312, I will shop round and see what prices I can get.
I feeling quite stressed today, stressed about Christmas. We have decided not to get DS3 the handheld games console, maybe for his birthday next year. DS2 wanted a particular games console last year and we said no, I can get one for £130 and apart from the mobile phone incident he's been really good this year and never asks for anything. DS1 has offered to pay for the games console and we can pay him back.
Friend will be here any minute, hope everybody is having a good weekend.:)
