    Morning Alice,

Just been catching up with your last few days. You sound so much more positive than you did a week or so ago. Its lovely to hear, well done !!

Look forward to hearing how you get on with the letters, fingers crossed for you ! I am in the process of writing a letter reclaiming Mortgage Exit Fees but I have no idea how much I was actually charged or when we changed lender which I think I need to know before writing to them.

Hope the bathroom gets finished and you have a lovely weekend x

Anything we get back would be great...........as my iron has just broke. I was down to the last 2 items. Off to source a good iron on the cheap.xx

  • DFW I hope your ebay stuff has a last minute rush. I have just checked my ebay stuff and upto £11.80 not inc. postage. But quite a few items still no bids, so not too bad and although I'm really not keen on all this ebay malarky I will put a few more items on today.

I purchased a new iron yesterday, used my nectar points, it was £14 (it had 25% off) so I'm now down to £34 on my nectar card.

Had to pay DS2s cricket subs this morning, paid 6 weeks in advance so it's all sorted and saved a few pounds as well.

I am not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow :( xx

  • Well sold 5 items on ebay and have relisted the ones that didn't sell, also put a couple of other things on. :)

I know this is sad but my new iron is great......I nearly, only nearly enjoyed ironing this afternoon. :o

We have £9 in cash between us and I wonder if we can make it stretch til Thursday, we need £6 for kids bus fare as I haven't filled the bus fare pot up, £2 for OH to go to football on Tuesday and no doubt he will want to buy a paper on way to work (he could use 1p's and 2p's), also somebody has been drinking milk like its going out of fashion, we are down to 2 x 4pints so don't think that will last until Thursday but we'll see. Also need to pay after school club but could pay that at the end of the week for sessions attended. We'll see how it goes.xx

Boo to having to spend nectar points on a new iron but at least its not 'real' cash.

Hope you can eke everything out for the rest of the week. Water down the milk btw! the guzzler shouldn't notice! And if its needed for cooking, make up dried milk, its cheaper.

Dragging myself away from the diaries now..housework to do!

  • Thanks for your ideas and challenges folk........OH said he thought the paper from McDonalds was a good idea but could he pick up a breakfast whilst he is there :rotfl:he was only joking.

OH had a statement from Bcard today stating that we need to keep up the payments as arranged so not sure if that means they have accepted our DMP or what, will keep our heads down until we hear otherwise. xx

Hi Alice, finally managed to get back to the diaries. I agree with you about Ebay and have found a much better way. Do you have a FB local group for things for sale, wanted or swap? I was introduced to ours recently and now only use Ebay for things that I really want to auction.
With the FB group once you are accepted as a member, you post your item, name your price and its sold before you know it. I also do buyer collect so not post office trips. Worth exploring.

My budgets and house have also gone to pot over Easter but today will hopefully start to get order restored - if I ever manage to drag myself of here!
    Keep up the good work.
