  • We have had a productive couple of days. I’ve been through our money, managed to get our phone plans a little cheaper, and OH cancelled one he had but never used. Saving is £17 per month.
Ive also sold a couple of the kids things, £10 in the kitty.

Also milk freezes well and is fine if defrosted in a pan of cold water. And long life milk is a great standby. I used to avoid until I realised one year that all milk I bought in the South of France on holiday, even if sold from a chill cabinet, was long life.  I hadn't noticed any difference from fresh.

We are big fans of MooMilk and the supermarket equivalents. I don’t notice the difference either.

I always check to see if my patio is dry to decide whether to peg out, I've actually not got any washing to do at the moment, but I do have a pile of ironing 😟

Hope you’re ok Alice...sending hugs to you and yours xxxx
  • Hi, thank you Brizzle. Hope that you and your family are safe and well too.xx
It is such a tough time for everyone. I’m finding it very surreal. It’s finding a balance about keeping myself focused and damage limitation for when this is over.
I’m working from home from next week which will be better for DS2 and DS3. I forget how frightening teenagers can find this situation. DS3 is missing his normal structure, school, friends, and sport and is becoming very angry. DS2 feels very frustrated by it all.
A quick money update, car 2 passed its MOT, I lost count of NSDs over the last 2 weeks I was doing quite well. I got paid yesterday so after writing this I’ll go through the finances and make debt payments.
Last weeks meal plan went to pot and I feel like I’ve put on a stone.
Stay in and stay safe everyone.
    xx
