    It did. :D

Chilly today. Am tempted to put the heating on but think its because I am working for home and am freezing. Just stopped to eat a lunch (I am rubbish at keeping to a sensible time for eating when I am at home) of leftovers and to make a cuppa

    Have a good day x

  • We have had a busy few weeks. Last weekend we were at a family function. Stayed in a hotel, and made full use of the facilities on Sunday, so back to work with a bit of a bump yesterday.

On the money front, I had budgeted £170 for last weekend. Think I just about got it right.

We have £300 in the emergency fund. I'm not sure if I mentioned but we have given up on the 365 jar. I do absolutely love the idea, but as I try to only take out the cash I need I was finding that we didn't have the cash available. Anyway we're still going with the 20p and 5p jar.

I'm not enjoying fleabay, and yes I know it is important that I make some money but thinking we should just do a carboot.

As we were away last weekend I haven't done a meal plan or any shopping. Will get some fresh bits on the way home tonight.

I've lost count of our NSDs too. Really need to up my game next month!!

  • I can't wait for a new month to start....does anybody else ever feel like that. I really don't want to be wishing my life away.

Catch up on the money front. OH played cricket on Saturday, £10 to play plus £5 for a drink. Sunday we got some bits for DIY/house stuff, £39. Spent £62 at the supermarket, plus £35 on petrol.

This week is half term, DS3 is at sports club for a couple of days, £20 per day.

Haircuts due for OH and DS3 this week.

I have done something quite productive....I've been through our mobile/broadband/data contracts. I've got the dates for when all the contracts run out. I know we should of been stricter with these. Myself and OH have both taken another contract out, although the price didn't go up.

Later I'm going to do the debt payments for this month. Aiming to pay another £500 off.

  • I'm feeling like I've accomplished a little something tonight. 😁 I forgot to say earlier that my car insurance is due and I searched on the comparison sites for a better deal.

Anyway I've managed to get £70 off in total. Including the savings by paying it in full rather than by DD. It was £208, so I can put what I was paying monthly (£23) back in to the emergency/savings fund.

Gosh you're paying it down fast now Alice. Is it starting to feel like the last straight ?
Glad you got it right about the amount needed for the weekend. You do so well at balancing having fun and paying down the debt.

Hi V, thank you. It is sort of, I just need to keep on at it. I'm so easily distracted at times...LOL.

  • I made our debt payments this morning. Paid off another £450, not quite the £500 I was hoping but I don't want to leave zero in the account. Emergency fund is up to £400.

I'm off today and so is DS2 so we're going to tackle his wardrobe and drawers....wish me luck. LOL.
Stuff for car boot is building nicely. Although if DS does have anything ebayable I will put it on there. :-/
