  • We've had a little sprinkling of 'snow' this morning. Rugby has been cancelled, good job really, OH is nursing a hangover. Lol.

We are upto 4 NSDs so far. Last night we went to the sports club, spent £24. Did a small top up shop on Thursday £23, and we've got a home delivery today £73.

Another spend this week was antivirus software annual fee £34. Also £10 for a birthday gift.

Need to update spending diary and I'm going to really try and get some stuff on fleabay today.:D

    Clear blue sky now!

All sounding not too bad! Good luck with the MOT. Any news on you going to ds1's graduation? Definitely worth a budget pot.

Hi V, yeah still plodding. I doubt we will make it to DS graduation as we're paying towards his lawyer fees. He's changing his visa so he can work, and although he has a job lined up the company won't cover all the fees. On the plus side we have arranged a sort of 'video link' so if we don't go we will be able to watch him.

Thanks brizzle. RL has been a bit mad so haven't been on for a few weeks.

  • We've had a unsettled few weeks. Nothing to do with money, but our families. I don't suppose many families are text book, but ours seems to be becoming more dysfunctional as time goes on. Oh well will keep plodding on.

On the money front, we've has a few shops of the last few weeks, £64, £35, £18 and £83 (this one was ordered on line...ooops!). That is for everything, food, toiletries, cleaning stuff, cat food etc. This is what happens when I don't keep on top of meal planning.

We've got a few birthdays coming up so this weekend I'm going to get all the presents and cards for April. Mothers Day is all sorted, parents coming round for Sunday dinner.

With all the chaos I haven't been keeping a proper check of spends so need to update spending diary and budget. Must get back in control!

  • brizzle & V, thank you both.xx

Mothers Day lunch went well. We managed to sit outside in the garden for a little bit, albeit with coats on, LOL. It can be tricky having both set of parents together!

I've paid £450 off the debt over the weekend, as it was payday on Friday. Today is NSD number 2. hahaha. I AM going to be on it this month.

I know you guys already know what I have to put up with with OH, and I have kept things off my diary recently but I just have to tell you this...…..We were out a few weeks ago and instead of buying expensive soft drinks I bought some bottles water. I think there was 9 in the pack....just to note not something I would usually do...but anyway there were some left so I put them in the garage. This morning I found a half empty bottle and mentioned it to OH. He then told me he gave it to the cat in the water bowl. I didn't know what to say, I just laughed that was really all I could do. Honestly give me strength!!

Glad your Sunday went well. Great amount off the debt. Sympathise about the bottles of water. I can just hear what my oh would say, "it was just a bottle of water..."

  • Last couple of weeks have been a bit spendy. OH needed new specs, he does get a small contribution from work now so that helped a little bit. DS1 has need more money. :-/ and of course the biggest spend of all...after the debt...is the car. I thought the MOT was up but it turns out it isn't up but I had booked it in anyway. Luckily I did as I broke down and the engine management light came on, then I noticed it was overheating, anyway long story cut short it cost £175 to put right, and we still have to get it through an MOT. :-(

Also on the money front I have been asked to become an account holder on a charity account. I have been asked before and declined but know they have asked again, and as much as I want to help I am sure I will be declined anyway. I'm currently 'thinking about it', but I'm feeling frustrated.....blooming credit rating/debt/money gggrrrr.

On the plus front the 20p jar is nearly overflowing, so will get a bigger jar and keep saving.

I've got all the Easter chocolate for nieces/nephews. We just bought bars as pound for pound it works out better value and it all came in as just under a £1 each child.

I also fell of the wagon a bit last week and purchased a hand held steamer.....I know, I know.

Also food shopping has gone a bit wild. We had a 'big' shop delivered then I did a 'small' shop in L1dl as I was near one, and then another two visits to supermarket. Anyway eating plan has been done for the week so I am going to try and keep spends down this week, particularly as I am off work this week.

But a big plus is that I have sold some bits on fleabay. Nothing major but at least its a start. Although I did buy the steamer with some of the money so not really winning at anything here. I have put some more bits on this week and I'm having a good sort out this week ready for a carboot as well. I should use fbook marketplace but I just don't feel comfortable. I know just get on with it Alice!

We have a big family 'do' in June and I need to lose some weight to fit in an outfit I already have. It fits but it doesn't feel comfortable so I've got 7 weeks to lose a stone. Wish me luck. LOL K
