I'm a bit deflated this morning for a couple of reasons.....nothing major in the big scheme of things. Firstly we spent £40 on food last night which was horrible (take away with friends). Tried a new place and was so disappointed. I'd been really good with food all week so we'd decided to treat ourselves. Won't do that again in a hurry.

Then this morning I've eaten half a packed of biscuits with my cup of tea. Why, why, why.... Gggrrrrr.

Kids have got friends here (hence the takeaway cost was so high) so they've had waffles, cereal and sausages sandwiches between them all. These kids can eat, don't their parents feed them. :rotfl:

No pegging out today, in fact haven't even done any washing yet. According to the forecast the next few days will be dry so will wash tonight. Thankfully DS3 has got spare uniform.

We are upto 6 NSDs. Today should be 7. Yesteday we spent £47 in supermarket but that did include a new wash basket (reduced), socks, board game for a gift and toiletries, so not that much on food.

I've been following a couple of decluttering/organising websites. I've sorts out the cupboard with the dvds, cds and 'wee' games this morning. In there were also brochures, magazines, paint charts, so had a good sort out and it only took 15mins.

Rest of the house needs tidying but the DVD cupboard is tidy. :rotfl:

Hope you all have a good day.

I've managed a couple of days pegging washing our this week, which is great, and it dried quite well.

I've ordered a shop that's been delivered tonight, £62 but did use voucher for £12 off. Will need to get petrol and cash on the way home.

The healthy eating is going well, and I do feel a lot better. Maybe psychological but I'm going to do my best to stick at it. We've had a busy week this week, parents eve and other things and we're still working through the freezer/cupboards etc so it would of been easy to get fast food....but we didn't so that's a big plus.

We are up to 9 NSDs, today I've added dinner money to DS's account, and paid sponsor money and lottery at work.

The figures are in...... Current outstanding balance is £9649.:D. Fairly happy with that. To be honest if we'd stayed with stpchange we would nearly be paid off now but you know...:o

Yesterday was a bit spendy. We spent money at the snack van whilst at football. Then we went bowling on the afternoon and drinks after.

I've really got my declutter/organising head on. I've sorted all the stuff we can sell, and some of it is going to the charity shop. Just to make the amount more manageable. I've sorted all the receipts and paperwork. I have kept every receipt and letter since we started this journey.

Spend diary and budget is up to date. :D

No pegging out today. Have done meter readings we are - £32. Not too bad considering we have had the heating on a lot more than usual.

We've got another family meal coming up next weekend..... The weekend before payday! Then think that is it for a while.

Hope everyone has a good day.

    Today was NSD number 10.

I've sorted dinner money for DS3 but don't class that as a spend. My spends are things like supermarket shopping, petrol, works lottery, hair cuts, eating out, social activities etc. Although some of these things.....not all... are essential I (should) always try and keep the amount and frequency to a minimum.

Hope everyone has a good week. Nearly payday. :-)

Today is NSD13. I have started an online shop which is sitting in the online trolley as I need to do our meal plan. We have used up loads of stuff doing the cupboard challenge. I'm going to defrost the freezer over the next few days as well.

    Still on a roll. :-)

Hi V, thank you. No DFD as yet, but in my head thinking it would be possible to be debt free in less than 16 months. But a lot depends on DS1, although is all going to finish shortly and everything is up in the air still, we'd really like at least one of us to go over. We only need to book flights but also need to sort OHs passport out.....there is always something!

Our 'big' shop is being delivered later. I've pegged out, got a another load in the machine, dishwasher on, kids have vacd and dusted their bedrooms and have just gone to rugby, we are on a roll this morning.

Still only on 13NSDs but hoping that the rest of the month will be spend free.

    Happy Sunday

It's a chilly one again this morning, and yes we've had the heating on a lot more yesterday. No sports clubs yesterday or today. DS3 has a birthday party yesterday afternoon, then both boys have had friends sleep over. Chaos at home this morning.... And they've eaten all the bacon!!

Anyway they're happy, although DS3s friend is off home shortly and then we have the homework battle. If he just got on and did it or would take 15mins maximum but there is always a commotion.

I've still got my organising head on, which is great. Still 'on it' with regards to housework, money, ironing, general keeping on top of it all.

So on the money front our total debt outstanding is £9733. Which is still a hefty amount but at least its below the 10K mark. One thing I need to do is get the emergency fund back up to a reasonable amount. What's a reasonable amount?? 1K??

I've done the totals for January, petrol £180, shopping (this includes pet stuff, cleaning stuff and toiletries) was £393. Now that was after doing the cupboard /freezer challenge but I did do a big shop just before the end of the month which was £115. So it's still less than £100per week for everything, so not too bad I suppose.

I need to keep a track of DS3s dinner money as well. He was staying the odd days now its nearly all the time. Then he has sandwiches when he comes home as he's starving!! Then has he tea later as well.

Just worked out if I pay £500 off a month that's still 16months until the debt is paid off. :o. Got to keep plodding.

We've only had 2 NSDs so far. Yesterday had to get petrol, DS new football boots, birthdays presents x 2 and bits for the car (bulb & wipers). It was a very spendy day!!

We've had our mortgage statement, balance is 37K and 6 years left to pay.
