  • Welcome rags, its going to be a tough rollercoaster of a journey.

brizzle - Wow thats some amount of expenses you are owed. Hope you have a good weekend, keep your chin up.

OH had a letter from a debt collecting agency today re his bcard (egg), he called CCCS and they said not to worry bcard are getting paid so just carry on as normal!!!! I did freak out a but when I come home but have calmed down now and I am so pleased that OH called CCCS and didn't just leave it :)

Just booked DS1 driving test £62!!! we said we'd pay half, he's given me his bit so will bank that tomorrow....before I spend it!!

Need to update spending diary as went to supermarket yesterday for a few bits, ended up spending £30.32 but that did include box set DVDs for BIL birthday (reduced from £25 to £10) and got petrol in both cars. Will need a bit of cash tomorrow as I'm going out with the girls, I'll drive so that will cut down on cost and as I still haven't lost any great amount of weight I will have to find something to wear :(.

Weather not looking great for the weekend either but I'm still feeling 'OK' about things. xx

Keep on feeling OK Alice...and re going out ..maybe keep it simple? Do you have jeans you can wear with a nice top? That's my stand by and pre op I would then dress up with some heels... ( but then I am vertically challenged!)

Have a good time and keep the spend to a min!

  • After a good start this morning today turned out just like any other sunday :o. Washing, ironing, cooking dinner, OH and kids went to football etc etc.

I've spent most of the afternoon trying to get the boiler to stay alight:mad:. I light it then it goes out again after 15mins. OH has promised to get somebody in to have a look this week. I'm trying to stay optimistic that it will be something that can cheaply be fixed.:(

Still need to update spending diary but should have at least 3 NSDs this week. I'm struggling a bit tonight but I think its because I'm tired. Hope everybody has a good week. xx

  • Didn't get chance to post yesterday :(, went to bed early to try and catch up on my sleep as I wasn't in a very good mood and thought sleep deprevation might be the problem (heaven knows how I coped when the kids were babies!!). Haven't felt much better today to be honest.

I took the dog out for her walk tonight and to just felt like walking forever (well until the debt was paid off and it was safe to come home :o), there are so many thinks to be done and so little time. OH weeded the front and cut the grass when he came home from work so at least the front of the house looks neat and tidy.......still working on the rest of the place.

On the finance front there is £58 left in the bank this week (from OH's weekly pay), which is an improvement on last week but I will have to get milk, bread, cereal and few other things tomorrow. But yesterday and today have been NSDs.

On the healthy eating front I haven't done too bad over the last few days and have done lots of walking so will try and keep it up for the rest of the week.......I have just got to get into those summer clothes in my wardrobe.

Hope everybody is having a good week, will catch up with peoples diaries over the next few days. xx

  • I have really neglected my diary this week. I've been so busy at work and at home I'm shattered. But I made an extra effort tonight and updated spending diary. Looks like I will of stayed within my petrol budget and OH just £25 over (which is a great improvement).:)

Called in at A1di and the C00p tonight for groceries. When I got to the checkout at the C00p my card was declined and the young cashier shouted on top of her voice for the supervisor. I knew there was money in the account so wasn't too embarrased but ended up going to cashpoint and paying in cash. Not sure what that was all about but will add C00p to the list of shops that my C00p bank card won't work in.

OH going to sort DS2s passport at the post office tomorrow so thats a bit of a major spend.:(

OH still getting letters on behalf of Bcard, CCCS told him to ignore them but todays letter said they will send a debt collector to our address to collect payment. OH going to call CCCS and Bcard tomorrow before I freak out!!

Have had a good week with my healthy eating, probably won't get on the scales just yet. All week I have really made a effort with the way I've dressed/look so feeling on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 been feeling on top of the world) about 6-7ish which is not too bad (in my world anyway).

Soooo looking forward to the weekend. xx

  • OH called CCCS and they've told him again not to worry about the letter re the debt collector from Bcard. They have sent Bcard a letter about our DMP but they will send another one. Really need reassurance that we are not going to get the bailiffs knocking on the door.:(

Had chip shop tea tonight, £8 for 5 of us, cheaper than a takeaway or going out for a meal, and the money was accounted for in the budget but still feel a bit guilty, particularly as the cupboard/fridge/freeze have got plenty of food in them.

Anyway roll on another lovely sunny day tomorrow.xx
