I have read your diary from start to finish (it took a while

Keep up the great work :T

I'm really not getting anywhere with payment details for some of the creditors. Very frustrating.
OH has had a letter from PRA Group asking for a financial statement. They would "like a reply by 07/07 and they will consider any proposals in a balanced and informed way."
This debt is from Virgin/MBNA, balance £705.

F&F £250??? Perhaps as a starting gambit. Don't people suggest half the outstanding balance is often accepted? So £375 ish. V..v accurate..but it got me through the day!! Felt v low after the awful news re Jo Cox...but managed to avoid the wine and chocolate. DD1 was chomping down as she did her final Physics revision and it was all I could do not to wrestle it off her (chocs that is, not the revision!)
Will cruise the diaries before going back to my 'to do' list.
Think a F&F might be a good idea..EE, do you have ideas? But not sure you have the spare cash Alice? You don't want to go too tight that's for sure.MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

On fast days I have 3 strawberries thinly sliced with a cup of tea at about 5 pm. Keeps me going and something to look forward to!
I eat loads of veg/salad for supper and lunch though and 20g of porridge oats cooked in water for breakfast so not as austere as many who do 5:2. Still reckon it's only 500 c though.

Thx V...we sound similar. My 'go to' is no lunch save for black coffee and perhaps an apple and then steamed fish and veg in the evening. Breakfast for me is also porridge and perhaps a banana. A little over 500 calories it seems.
Alice - hope alls well. You're almost through your second week of being self managed? :beer:MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

For a F & F the general consensus is to start low so £200 or £250 and then work from there - usually they accept 50-75% of the debt unless the debt is really old and then they can go as low as 20-30%,.
You could offer F & F of £250 and if they don't accept put them on token payments.
Although I think you have already sent your offer letters to them.
Hopefully the difference in payment to Barclaycard can be saved ready for some F & F's.0
