Sorry you were feeling ill. Well done on keeping going.

Last minute..it was ever thus! I would pay £100 to get a day when DD2 (in particular) came to me with a plan for doing a piece of homework with proper preparation time, maybe some time set aside for research..in fact any plan. Believe me Alice, that £100 is very safe...pigs would fly first :)

Ha ha brizzle, glad to hear it not just our kids. Lol. One day brizzle, one day.:rotfl:

  • Alice I have just read your diary over the last few days and wanted to say you are absolutely awesome. You have been so organised and calm and paid off such a huge amount. All of it reported back with humour and no self pity or excuses. Well done:T

Awww thank you. I admire your stamina. We're getting there....albeit slowly but heading in the right direction.

  • Have spoken to stepchange, apparently the money that has been returned is an overpayment. We over paid on the final payment. The note about stepchange trying to re-send the payment is an automated response......apparently. Will see what happens next month.

Car is going to cost £109 to repair and £34 for bits, we have sourced the bits separately to save some money.

Still need to speak to bcard. will try again tomorrow.

Last night I did all the ironing. Tonight I've vac'd round and tidied kitchen. Tomorrow night going to go through budget.....OH reckons he's going to help:o.......we'll see.

  • Have spoken to bcard. They have refunded £172 off the account. Broken down into £50 for the inconvenience of increasing the interest rate in error, £50 because they called me instead of writing to me as I requested and £72 interest (gesture of goodwill). The interest rate will stay the same 12.9%. They are sending me a letter confirming all the info (only spoke to me because I called !). So where do I go from here?

Tonight I've given the kitchen a really good wipe down and sorted through all the paperwork on the side. :)

Tomorrow will have to get petrol and some food bits. Need to pay sponsor money to a work colleague and OH pay his works lottery.

Self managed so you can reduce the payments to BC and they will then reduce or freeze the interest.....

Can I do it Puzz!?! I will have to have a proper think now. I don't know but I assume I just stop paying SC and pay the creditors directly. The same amount except BC, pay them the reduced amount and then the extra pay off say the lowest amount to get rid of it??

Providing that is the gist of it, it sounds doable as I type.......I'm sure I can do it.

Finish work in 10 mins so will have a think about it on the way home.xx

It does sound like a plan, but I'm just so full of self doubt., or am I just being lazy?
