You sound so tireless and organized. With flylady light I'm getting there and my house and routine are settling in.
I hope your final debt falls quickly now.
Any more thoughts on self managing and perhaps some f&f offers?

    Brilliant news on the progress..

Yes, know we keep gently nagging ;)..but some f&f offers might be just the ticket..maybe try and review whether you go self managed in say 3 months or so? Give yourself time to work up to it?

Thanks brizzle and Verbatim, I would have to work up to self managing. Will see how it goes.;)

A few things have happening this week. I've been really poorly, some sort of bug (will spare you the details). Have been off work most of the week. On the plus side had lost 5lb.

Yesterday I received my bcard statement and they had only gone and charged me 22.78 % interest. I really didn't feel well but I called them all guns blazing. Eventually got put through to the complaints department, spoke to a really helpful guy who could see my 2nd complaint (which they said I would hear by end of April on), and also confirmed interest should be 12.9%. He said he would personally have a look at the complaint and get back to me......still haven't heard anything from him.:(

On the money front, up to 5 NSDs, need to pay for car repairs and everybody needs a haircut. Need to update spending diary/budget.

Have had council tax bill, has gone up £12 per month.

OH did some washing and pegged out today, dried a treat.

Sports club is miles away tomorrow, not sure I'll be up to going but either way the car needs petrol.

Hope you feel better soon Alice, I'm sure that's not really how you would want to lose weight :undecided.

 to £12 per month increase in council tax!
  • Thanks Dolphin, I did make it out today. Still feel a bit rough but getting there. :)

    Still nothing from bcard.

Did 114 miles today for sports club. Put £20 petrol in. Today we've spent £24, some at sports club then called and got supermarket pizzas for tea. (I've managed a slice:) )

Had heating on a bit tonight, pegged a load out first thing this morning and that dried a treat.

  • Thanks mummy, feeling a lot better thankfully, looks like I'll have to go to work tomorrow after all.:o

I've logged onto our DMP and we've had a payment returned. Stepchange have made a payment towards the debt we have paid off. There's a note saying they will resend the payment. Doh! Will have to call them to see what's going on.

Have been to supermarket spent £24, topped petrol up £15. Spent £12 in cheapy shop.

No money into emergency fund or flight money. But will transfer DS £50.

Had a productive day, pegged 2 loads out, OH cleaned cars, and then we cleaned up the front, swept, cleaned garage door etc etc. feel better for doing that but shattered tonight.

Helped DS3 do his school project tonight.....why do we leave these things til the last minute!?!

This week I'll chase up bcard, speak to Stepchange, hope the car isn't too costly and have more NSDs.

Sorry you were feeling ill. Well done on keeping going.

Last minute..it was ever thus! I would pay £100 to get a day when DD2 (in particular) came to me with a plan for doing a piece of homework with proper preparation time, maybe some time set aside for research..in fact any plan. Believe me Alice, that £100 is very safe...pigs would fly first :)

  • Alice I have just read your diary over the last few days and wanted to say you are absolutely awesome. You have been so organised and calm and paid off such a huge amount. All of it reported back with humour and no self pity or excuses. Well done:T
