Thanks Verbatim & mummy, just about in the 15s but 2 more payments and I'll be in the 14s...talk about wishing your life away.:rotfl:
Still on 6NSDs, yesterday had to get petrol. Today I've transferred money into DSs flight pot and into DSs account. Have got money for bowling tomorrow. OH got petrol in the other car today, so less DDs due that will leave £68. With that need to get food, put money in leisure pot and DS2s bus fare.
Have decided no party bags at the party......I've done this before so people won't expect one at our party.:rotfl: I'm not being selfish...a little tight maybe but not selfish, we just can't afford it.
Had the heated aired on last night, DS3 had run out of clothes!

Now on the subject of party bags...I hate them. Full of tat which gets thrown away within the hour. Waste of time and money and bad for the environment.
When DD1 was about 8 and having a joint party me and the other child's mum realised we felt the same about these bags, refused to have them and never done them since. Yes they get a lovely slab of cake..(we have a bit of a tradition of special cakes in our house) but no party bags..
Right, rant over but seriously Alice, save your cash cos there is better stuff to spend it on..(like wine for recovering afterwards) . Its nowt to do with not being able to afford it, its like what a flipping waste even if you were a billionaire

We celebrated ds birthday earlier this week and we didn't have party bags and virtually no party my children attend has party bags either. On the few occasions when they have received them they are full of plastic tat and sugar.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Totally agree Baileys Babe & brizzle, don't feel bad now. Everybody was cool with it, and the party was a success, albeit chaotic.:rotfl:
We had chippy tea (just chips), so yesterday we just ate rubbish stuff basically.:o
Had to get dog food this morning, gave DS2 £10 'pocket money', have done meal plan and shopping list. Not going to restock freezer when I go shopping today, will wait until next week. Do need a couple of non-food items like toilet roll, cat food.
No spends a sports club this morning.
Have done meter readings, we have used £55 over 2 weeks. That's having the heating/hot water on every night for 4-5hours, the hot water on in the morning for 2 hours and we've had the airer on 3 times overnight.
DS3 desperately needs new school shoes but he'll have to wait a week. The ones he's got will polish up ok, although the rubber bit coming away on the front.
OH spoke to 3, new sim only plan with less data, less minutes and text but will only cost £11 per month. Will go with that one. DS1 only using phone on wifi where he is anyway.
Spends coming up- both cars tax due, will carry on paying monthly. Need £30 (3x£10) to put in bday cards, will use n3ctar points to get another bday & Mother's Day gifts (alcohol). Carry on putting money aside for DSs flight. He will also need £200-£250 per month for the foreseeable future. (Don't want to dwell on this as if we hadn't got into debt then this wouldn't be a problem as it would of come out of the £475 we pay to SC every month so just got to deal with it).

Daren't look at the bank account...that is always a bad sign. Had to scrape together petrol money. We should have £5ish left in the account.
Upto 9 NSDs.
Had mortgage statement today, current balance £54,440. Just 9 years to go.
Nothing from bcard yet.

Busy few days!
Thursday went out after work with work colleagues, spent £18:eek: didn't really want to go, but haven't been out with them for ages so thought I'd make the effort. Didn't expect that sort of spend though!
Yesterday got petrol £30. Today got money for birthday cards, I've spent £25 at the butchers, £63 s'market, but that did include alcohol for gifts (down to £3 on nectar card now). I've had a £6 voucher (came after I'd been shopping this morning...doh!) to spent a sburys in homework or clothes department, hmmm what to spend it on??:)
Transferred £50 into flights pot, £30 into emergency fund and £100 to DS.
Spent £5 at sports club, and then we've had pizza tonight, that is march's treat...just a little early.
Still on 9 NSDs.
Received letter from bcard, they will look into my complaint and get back to me by 26th April.
Need hair coloured, kids need haircuts too.
Heating on tonight, wearing fleece, scarf and got throw over me and I'm still cold!!

Let's hope for some better, warmer weather in March so we all warm up a bit.
How is the emergency fund doing now? I'm impressed with your £100 to DS and £50 into flights pot. I'm sure I'd dip in as soon as another need came up! When is DS back for the summer?
So just one more payment now before you're in the 14's! You'll be under 10k before you know it.CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420 -
Keep plodding Alice...agreed it's turned nippy. Meter readings show that we are spending more than our direct debit at the moment
but it's so flaming cold
