  • Happy New Year Alice xx

Happy New Year to you too mummy. Fingers crossed its a good one.:)

Yesterday was a LSD. DS3 went to a party, just purchased a coffee whilst we waiting for him.

I then sorted the fridge and cupboards out. Made a meal plan and shopping list.....back to dreaded packed lunches tomorrow (DS3 having packed lunches again). Have been to supermarket this morning, spent £62.

Also got petrol £25, and cash for bus fare etc.

Had a letter from Bcard advising that 'as part of the agreement they need a 12 monthly review of the repayment arrangements'......the arrangement they denied all knowledge off, then started to charge interest!?! I am waiting for a reply to my letter re the high interest charges.

OH is in a horrible mood. I'm sure he gets PMT.:rotfl: I've asked him if he is ok, he replied that he is fine, I won't ask again I'll just leave him to strop around.:o

Have emptied purse out, have actually got £12 left after I've filled the pots, bus fare etc. Feeling rich.:)

New spending diary up and running, new envelopes for receipts all ready. Currently had 1 NSD.:)

    Back to school/work tomorrow.

  • Thanks brizzle, another LSD today, just called and got milk on the way home.

Had some eggs in the fridge which were well past their best before date, tried them in a bowl of water and they all sunk to the bottom, still fresh!! A few years ago I would of just thrown them away. Had omelettes for tea. :)

No heating on tonight and have to say the house is quite chilly. Must do meter readings this weekend.

DS needs £50 will have to wait until tomorrow when OH gets paid. That will mean it will be very tight until next Thursday. DD's due are stepchange due Monday, mobiles due Friday and next Wednesday.

Feeling shattered tonight, struggling to get back into routine. :(

  • Well made it through the first week.:rotfl:

We refrained from hitting the chippy tonight. We've got loads of food in the house to use up, and really need to empty freezer. Will do a meal plan for next week and then should only have a small shopping list.;)

Have sent DS £50. Payment to stepchange is due on Monday.

Got £20 petrol today. Paid works lottery for the whole on January. Currently on 4 NSDs.

    Must write up spending diary.

No sports club tomorrow but got rugby on Sunday.

  • Hi Alice

Glad your Xmas and New Year went well.

It's nice to get all organised again though.

You are doing well on the NSD's. I have joined the Ninja Saving Turtles and one of the challenges is 21 NSD:eek:. I am on 4 at the moment with today looking like 5 - it's really helping me not buy things at lunch time and to instead take things from home to eat.

Hope you get all the birthday cards and presents - so much easier to do it all in one go!!
  • We have sunshine here now.......I could of pegged out!!

Have been to town, spent £6.49 in card shop, £20 (2x£10 bday vouchers), £12 on bday presents, £8 on fruit/veg and £5 in £1shop.

Have received a letter from Bcard.......apparently Angela from Bcard is sorry to hear of our continuing difficulties. Our previous plan was cancelled in August due to 2 months of reduced payments (the very plan they denied all knowledge of when I spoke to them).

As they are a responsible lender they have designed our repayment plan in order to assist us......really?!?....and can confirm that interest at a reduced annual rate of 12.9% will still be applied. Regrettable Angela is unable to suspend interest at this time. But she does hope that this information is helpful to us.

I don't know what I can do now.

Off to calm down because between OH and Angela 'I'm sorry to hear of your continuing difficulties ' Bcard I'm feeling right brassed off.ggggrrrrr.
