  • Forgot to note, I emptied the 20p jar, we had £30 exactly in it.

Will start again but put more effort in next year. Going to collect 20p's and £2 coins.

Still collecting 5p's, but jar only half full.

I have also got next years money planner/diary. Can't wait to get started.......don't mean to wish the next few weeks away though.

Finished work today, got a £10 M&S voucher.....better than nowt!;)

  • I don't think £100 on the Christmas shop incl alcohol is bad at all Alice! Especially since you're entertaining aswell!

Yay to last day and MnS voucher, what you going to spend in on? Nice food or yourself? xx

Hope everybody has had a great Christmas. We've totally over endulged, prepared enough food for a small army, drank enough to sink a ship, entertained the oldies, played on the games consoles with the kids, totally laughed our heads off, can honestly say we've had a ball......we did miss DS1 though (that was the only downside), back to reality today. No visitors, leftovers for lunch and need to tidy the house.

On the money front, we've had the gas/elec bill and we are £14.20 on credit. Have used more electric than the same time last year but a third less gas.

Funds are going to be tight, DS2 needs his school uniform replacing and we need to get another tyre!!

We've been given some cash for Christmas and I would like to get a few things for the house (sort of essentials) but then we could get the tyre with it.......decisions, decisions.

  • We've been and got some things for the house today, a blind, bits for the bathroom and a new letterbox. Tarted the house up a bit.:)

Finished up loads of leftovers so a quick and easy tea. Did call into shop to get some milk, got a piece of beef reduced from £15 to £8 (will do for New Year's Day and sandwiches).

Hopefully the bank account will be up to date tomorrow. Will update diary/spending budget then (hopefully) will get DS's bits he needs and a tyre.
