I've spoken to Bcard and it's not good news. They have got the info from stepchange and are OK about the DMP but.........they are still charging interest. Works out to £51 per month, as I'm only paying £110 per month that's not good. Where do I go from here?
I did ask them whilst I was on phone how come I'm been charged interest now, as for the last 3 years haven't been. It was only when I had to reduced the payment over the summer that all this has happened.
Hope I can sort something out.

I've spoken to stepchange, the only thing they can recommend is I write to bcard and complain, see if I can get the interest reduced that way.
Because Bcard have already reduced the rate from 33% to 12.9% that is seen as 'helping'......really!! They didn't charge any interest for the past 3 years, that's what I call helping.

What Bcard have done is awful. It is clear that despite your reduced payments, you are doing your best to pay them back. Reintroducing the interest after 3 years is a right kick in the teeth and definitely worth a complaint. You have nothing to lose by sending a letter. Hope something good comes of it.0 -

Thanks Dolphin, it certainly is. I do feel like it's a big knock back but I am going write to them......fingers crossed.
Another busy week but I did manage to peg out yesterday.:T
Heating has been off until tonight, the house felt damp so it's been on for a few hours.
Spends coming up....apart from presents - dentist, hair, OHs works do on Saturday night and 2 tyres (1 on each car).

Hi brizzle, yep I wrote to Bcard. It's was a sort of 'can you help me.....as you were helping me before....please' letter. Think I should of been firmer but it's done now and on its way. Fingers crossed.
I don't mind you checking. I do need a kick up the backside sometimes.:D
Have had a really hectic couple of days. Had hair cutand visit to the dentist
. We have £11 left into the account until Thursday.

Well done
Ditto re house insurance. I am finding it hard to summon up energy to price compare but getting there. Have got best price from current guys and now looking at other options. Wish I could just wave a magic wand!MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hi brizzle, it's bad enough finding the time to check out comparison sites but I've found it even harder this time of year. Have finally got round to doing it, went back to current provider they've reduced their renewal quote by £15. As OH has been paid a few weeks in advance and, we haven't got as much childcare to pay for this month we will pay the amount in full. One less DD to worry about.

Hi Mrs PG, Bcard have not played ball with OHs account since we started but his interest is pence compared to what they want to charge me. Will keep on fighting them though.
Oooo what a dream Mrs PG, that is one thing I am going to have done once this debt is paid off. I'm getting so fed up colouring my own hair too. We will get there.:)

Have had a really fraught week. Have been very busy, plus a sickness bug swept through the household.
I also had a bit of a panic on Thursday when OH got paid 3 weeks money. I stressed that we would waste it. Got the last few presents, sent DS some money and will pay house insurance in full. Still need to get tyres though.
Christmas will be quite a lean affair. Haven't gone overboard with presents, or food stuff. I'm sure we will still have a great time. Need to keep busy so I don't think about DS not being able to join us this year.
We've got one debt down to £18.73. Looking forward to seeing December stepchange statement and that debt should be paid off.
