Thanks mummy, Verbatim & brizzle, hope you've all had a great Christmas too. DS1 has been staying with his friends family who've really looked after him so I don't feel so bad now.
Mummy, you are so right, those few purchases have made all the difference. I don't feel so hard done by now.:)
Yesterday I got some birthday presents in the sale and a few bits from the £1 shop.
OH is at work today so Me, DS's 2 and 3 are going to get DS2's bits he needs for school. DS3 has some Christmas money but I've not mentioned it since he got it, he doesn't actually need anything at the moment so will wait and hold onto it.
I've logged onto our DMP, the littlest debt still hadn't disappeared but the figure is looking so much better.
Verbatim, brizzle, it seems crazy that we've already paid off 50%. It's really strange, I try not to wish our lives away but the last 4 years have just flown by.:)
Nearly forgot, I pegged out yesterday, 3 loads, it did just about dry and I very cheekily just finished some of it off in the tumble dryer and the rest in the airing cupboard. Just got the small clothes airer up with stuff that couldn't be tumble dried. Couldn't face having all the airers up and the Christmas tree.:o

Our current debt figure is £16,839.
We have paid off £18,399 plus the car loan which was paid separately to our DMP (I think that was about £2.5k).
Outstanding debts -
£5190 - Bcard (pay £110 per month but been charged £50 interest, have written to them to 'complain' about the interest charges, waiting for reply).
£4172 - Cablt (yorks bank CC) pay £91 per month
£3010 - Capital pay £71 per month
£1256 - Bcard loan pay £72
£1222 - Bcard, (OH's, charged a few £'s interest) pay £21 per month
£965 - Santander pay £21 per month
£799 - PRA group pay £16 per month
£203 - Cabot (yorks bank account) pay £14 per month
Balance of £18 outstanding for other Cabot account, this has been been paid this month, this is technically our first debt to be paid off. Only another 8 to go!
I'm going to go back to basics -
Use the leisure pot as I used to
Get some funds in the emergency fund pot (aim for £500)
Give OH cash to pay for petrol etc (he always forgets to give me receipts)
Save money for car bills (we are paying car tax monthly, I would like to get rid of these DD's)
Carry on with meal planning and eat healthily
DS2 will carry on school dinners, DS3 back to packed lunches
De-clutter and sell, sell sell stuff (or charity shop)
And finally I'm going to smile more.:)
The last note is a little difficult today:rotfl: (Only laughing because it's so ironic) we've had to have 2 tyres on the car plus getting the tracking done , DS2's stuff came to £135 yesterday (after his student discount) but I did treat myself to some hair stuff £8.
We need to get milk, potatoes, and a calendar today. We have £30 to go out with tonight and then that is it.....bring on 2016.
Happy Debt Busting New Year Everyone.
