Happy New Year, Alice. I've just had a read back - you've done so well in 2013. Hope you feel better soon and I agree completely about the joys of normality!

  • Happy New Year everyone.

Thank you Baileys Babe, granny and HappyNow. I am going to try really hard to remain positive and focused during 2014......and get rid of this bug that seems to have got a hold of me.:(

I have just put the heating on ready for our visitors later, meat is in the oven, veg all prepared and table laid. Christmas left our house this morning, tree down, cards ready to be made into present tags (even if a family member did make a sarky remark!), living room cleaned everywhere looking fresh. Mind you I feel worn out now!

DS3 has got a right one on him today, the weather is rubbish so he can't even go outside and let off steam........normality is just around the corner, roll on Monday back to school.:)

Happy new year Alice, hope you're feeling better soon.
Nice to hear you haven't been put off the tags by stupid family member!! Xx

  • Thanks mummy, nah not been put off, I never do things quite right in the eyes of that particular family member......but they make me even more determined to become debt free. They don't know about our situation but I'll show them (well not exactly as they don't know but you know what I mean).:p

Had a lovely afternoon, everybody gone now, everything cleared away, heating turned off, dishwasher on and lunches for tomorrow all sorted.

Today was a NSD, going to start keeping a log now we've got Christmas out of the way.

Back to work tomorrow, just 2 days to do then the weekend.:)

    Dear Alice,

Out of all the diaries I subscribed to last year you're the only one still posting and although I've not commented at all this year I just thought I'd let you know I'm still here, I'm still getting my daily email and I'm still cheering you on.

Keep up the good work - you're doing a marvellous job :T:T:T

  • Today was NSD 2, I will need to get petrol tomorrow though.

Started new spending/budget diary today. Going to keep an extra tight rein in the budget as OH said that things didn't look good when he went back to work today. He's going to get his cv upto date and just have a look at what jobs are about.....no harm in looking!

Off to do lunches for tomorrow...ggrrrr. :)
