Hope it's going well. All the extra bodies should help with the heat output!

  • Hope everybody is ok and having a stress free time! It was fun yesterday, chaotic but fun. We have been at our 'guests' beck and call, bless 'em (on a sad note I do not want to get old :( ). It's been lovely to see them trying to get to grips with modern technology and DS3s toys, quite amusing.:)

And so we start again today, more visitors, more food and a bit more alcohol ;)

Already thinking about tomorrow :o, do I venture into town and get cards and wrapping paper in the sales (I should really), will have a tally up of spends (eek!), do some washing and peg out (of course).

    Xx

  • I got up quite early this morning, the house felt very empty now all our guests have gone home. Went into the living room and there was a token sweet wrapper on the floor, did make me smile.:)

I've updated budget and spending diary.....gulp.......we have spent over the Christmas period (last 2 weeks) all together inc. extra petrol, alcohol, extra food, all presents.........£720 or thereabouts. The present money mainly came from the 20p and £2 coins pots, which I have carried on doing. We still have plenty of alcohol and food left, will just need to get basics like milk.

I have also worked out we spent £210 on school dinners, £775 on mobile phones:eek: and £140 on having the windows cleaned.

Have done meter readings and we are £4.81 debit. We will be back to keeping the heating off as much as possible now though.

As well as the 20p and £2 coins pots we are also saving 5ps, won't be keeping a tally of the 5ps will just empty out on the 1st December 2014!

We have got to do a review of our DMP, didn't realise we could do it on line. Will do that over the next few days.

Think that's all, bit of a rambling post, got a lot of things on my mind.:o

  • We've just cancelled sky tv. Was talking to OH after my last post and we just decided it should go.......something we should of done a long time ago. We have had to give 30 days notice, will keep the broadband and tv line for now. I was on the phone for 27 minutes, they got really pushy and made all sorts of offers but all sorted now.

    Feeling quite liberated :rotfl:

Thanks pwps, they really did push me to stay and what they did offer sounded good but I stood firm.:rotfl:

Thanks amber, I don't think we'll miss much either, although OH thinking about a freeview box!! :o

Have come down to earth with a bump today, feeling feverish, sore throat and blocked nose etc. Did go out and got some birthday presents in the sales, and some Christmas cards and wrapping paper. But my heart wasn't in it I just wanted to come home and get back in to bed:o

Also called into supermarket and got milk, bread, cereal. Tonight's tea is the last of the 'Christmas meat' with HM chips.

Hopefully nothing will come of this 'bug' as I've got some things I'd like to do with the family and in the house whilst I'm off work...blooming typical.
