Not a happy bunny tonight. I have just spent over an hour on the phone trying to sort out DDs that should of come out of our new account yesterday/today. Had to pay mortgage, council tax and utilities over the phone but at least they are paid and DDs set up for next month.
OH had a letter from one of his CC companies to advise they are holding the interest on the account and have accepted the monthy amount put forward by CCCS.......one CC down....five CCs to go.
Have got the munchies tonight so I'm going finish my diary for today, do the packed lunches for tomorrrow and then going to bed so I don't carry on eating!!! Feeling stressed out tonight....aaaggghhh. xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Feeling much better today
.
I've have got a bit more for lunch today so hopefully that will stop me getting the munchies tonight.
So far another NSD. We worked out last night that as my OH buys a newspaper on the way to work everyday (5 days a week x 48 weeks a year (doesn't normally buy one when on holiday)) he spends approx £85 per year just on newspapers!!!! xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Good idea DaisyMeRollin, although the paper shop my OH usually goes to has been shut in the mornings so far this week, so this may wean him off his daily read. Plus he could look at the news on his phone.
Will have to get some cash today as have to pay for this weeks childcare so not a NSD. But will only get the cash I need. Also will get petrol today, we have a budget of £25 per week each for it.
I don't want to wish January away but although we have a budget for everything my OH gets paid weekly so at the start of the month all the months money isn't in the bank yet (if that makes sense). Can't wait for February to start....how sad am I.xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Have just updated spending diary and checked bank account and I am so pleased that right down to the last penny everything is accounted for. :j
I had to call in to supermarket for fresh stuff ie milk etc and whilst I was there I got a call from OH to get some blades - £9.00 for 5 blades, how bad is that. Will have to investigate this as must be able to get them cheaper some how, some where........or he'll just have to grow a beard. Hi Alice, my OH has bought blades off ebay in the past as one of the cheapest places to get them from. Either that, or wrong time of year but car boots.
£85.00 per year on newspapers  it is amazing how it all adds upI have just gone away and calculated and I spend about £114.00 per year  by buying one on a Sunday
Just keep swimming!0 -
Itsadogslife, thank you, thats a good tip, will check ebay out.
Had a letter from the bank saying they won't accept out DMP. Not sure what to do now. Also one of OH's CCs won't accept it either (same bank strangely enough). Additional charges are starting to really add up on the bank accounts.
Didn't manage a NSD day today. Had to give one of the kids £2 for dinner money as fridge looking a bit bare (and I forgot to get something yesterday), could of cooked a pizza from the freezer but just didn't have time this morning.
I am sooo tired this week, having trouble getting back into the swing of things. Will hopefully have a chilled out weekend, hope everybody else does too. xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

I've lost 2lb which I know is a drop in the ocean but it's a start.:)
Have done this weeks meal plan so OH has gone off to the supermarket with a list (and I know he will stick to it), still struggling with lunch boxes though. The oldest 2 eat so much and are still like bean poles, obviously don't take after me!!
We are going to call CCCS re the bank accounts on Monday. There is a daily fee being added to the accounts which is just adding to our problems.
Going to keep myself busy today (as much as I'd like to I can't just sit on this website ready everbodys inspiring diaries all day!!). The boys and OH are all going to football later so I can get housework and ironing done, and take the dog for a walk. I like to stride it out when I'm walking her so I count this as exercise.
Hope everybody has a good weekend too. xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Spends today-
Petrol in OHs car - £25.00 (budget is £25 each per week)
S*insburys - £37.57
A1di - £14.96
Football - £6 (for OH & kids), don't spend this everyweek, just a treat to see our friends son play.
Still within budget. All of a sudden I'm frightened to spend any money. How bizarre is that!!! xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Hi Alice
I have been lurking for a little while recently and noticed this comment.
Not sure who you bank with but a lot of banks have a figure which they can go down to such as 1% of the balance (not that but you get my drift), if your offer is lower than this they will pass your account to the Debt Recovery part of the bank who can accept low offers.
They will then contact you to accept the offer, the debt normally stays with them for 6 - 12 months and then gets passed to an external debt agency.
I expect the letter that CCCS got from the bank will be worded slightly different to yours and will likely explain this.
I know you have some charges but CCCS can usually negotiate with the bank to remove excess charges although charges for a month might be the price you have to pay to set up a DMP
Do not worry about this - let CCCS deal with it.0
