Still only had 2 NSDs, yesterday I called in at A1di spent £38. Today I need petrol (again!) and some bits from sburys.
Yesterday was DS3s school summer fair, all going well then DS3 decided to have a massive meltdown/tantrum, so I grew a second skin and in front of practically the whole school I scooped him up and took him back to the car. I was soooo embarrassed. He sobbed all the way home saying he was sorry. Kids eh!!!!
DS2 is off to a sports club this morning, me and DS3 will wait for him, save petrol coming all the way home and me and DS3 can have some quality time together to make up for yesterday.
DS2 had an advance on his pocket last week to get something for his games console, the ony trouble now is is that he would like to play tennis this afternoon with his friends and that's £3, he offered to do extra jobs to earn more pocket money or so that he could have an advance on next week money. This is a tough learning curve for him. I feel bad but I just can't give him money willy nilly.
Nothing else planned this weekend, the pool is out so thats free entertainment.
Update on pots, £2 pot upto £86 and 20p £68.60

Yesterday was a glorious day.:) We went to DS2s sports club and DS3 was so well behaved after Fridays meltdown. I did call into sburys, spent £43 but that did include some beer for OH (not very MSE but just thought he needed a treat!).
Yesterday afternoon we just chilled in the garden, and we will do the same today.....not very adventurous but very MSE, so today should be NSD 3.
All money pots done and I have 7p left in my purse.

Sounds like a lovely weekend..well done!
Important lesson for DS2.. You're being very clear and he knows the boundaries so you're doing the right thing.

Alice, every mum has been in that position with a meltdown child my middle one always did it when I was food shopping. He was that screaming child throwing a strop lying down on the shop floor. I usually stepped over him and left his dad to sort him out.
Had a busy morning changing beds and shopping for food, now having a relaxing afternoon before going out for DS3's birthday.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000 -

Hi Amber, hope your DS3 had a great birthday.
I'm glad I did scoop him up and take him back to the car and not make idle threats, the tantrums are getting few and far between now, but when he does have them they can be real showstoppers.brizzledfw wrote: »Sounds like a lovely weekend..well done!

Oh lord kids meltdowns! I've noticed they have tripled in the heat! DD was sent to bed at 5.30 last night! She clearly needed it though as when I went and peeked in at 5.35 she was soundo. fast asleep! Heat had literally knocked her out. And today she was good as gold because everytime she mis-behaved I threatened her with 'do you want to go to bed before your brother AGAIN!' and she piped down straight away
always good to follow through with a threat every now and then

One of my jobs is at Mr T's, in the dairy section. Its amazing how many people over the last couple of days have just stood in the aisle enjoying the cool air. Usually little ones complain how cold it is and want to 'escape', not so recently.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000

Morning Alice,
Just catching up from last week!! Oh dear to DS's meltdown, I agree with DFW its definitely the heat. My kids have been little swines and on Monday DD2 was in bed at 6.30 on her own!

Yes the heat turns them into little monsters, I'm in hot classroom full of them .0
