We've been through 6 toilet seats in 3 years!!! I was blaming dh's derrière but turns out it's the make of the loo the seats are difficult to source and the @rmy are tight wads and give us cheap carp that don't fit!

DFW - shame you can't claim too. I don't get this toilet malarky, the one downstairs has lasted ages and the one upstairs was twice as much:(. We'd better replace it soon though I can see me having an accident, he he.
OH has had a 2nd payment taken for his Bike to Work scheme, this weeks payment was £10.88, I still can't see how his is 'saving' tax and NI on this scheme. Will have another look at the website. Still no voucher for the actual bike though.
I pegged out this morning but is has rained all afternoon....blinking weather. DS2s cricket match cancelled tonight.
Payday tomorrow.:j

i wanted to share with you something that ive seen time and time again but now because of my frugal lifestyle i was totally shocked. i went away for the night last night and went to the bullring in birmingham. i was in a clothes shop and ive never seen so many people in a que to pay for things. im not exaggating when i say at least 30-40 may be more. each one of those had two of three tops in their hands and i was waiting for my daughter and watching these people thinking - are you paying cash or putting it on credit.ive saved hard some money for months for this night away and i had cash with me but everything i looked at i thought " a lot of money for what it is!" so ive got my daughter two cheap tops and bought myself a v cheap eye shadow and come home with all the money in my purse still. i just didnt need anything and didnt buy it. i havent bought anything this year clothes wise and sometimes i do get fed up but i just cant justify it. i still had a nice time on the weekend and even had a take away tonight as hubby didnt buy anything either so were quids in.
im still reading with interest of all your adventures and keep up the good work0 -

Feel like we've been spending money like water the last 2 days. So I've decided to do some tallying up and see what we've spent over the last 6months. Hopefully this will spur me on a bit, I feel like we are just bimbling (not sure that bimbling is a word!!) along. This makes frightening reading -
Total spent last 6 months -
Groceries - £2440 - this does include some non food items (not many though). I always try and deduct them from the total but sometimes I forget.
Petrol - £830 - In our car, we have put some petrol in DS1s car too.
Dog food - £72
Cat food - £30
Mobile phones - £376 - 3 mobile phone contracts
Window cleaner - £60 - keeping up appearances
Dinner money - £142 just on DS2
I've done the meter readings and we are now minus £32, we should be back in credit next month as the DD amount has stayed the same.
NSDs for June - 13.
Today I'm going to put a colour on my hair, do some more ironing, sort the papers that are on the side in the kitchen...again!! Where does it all come from?? I've pegged out, got another load in at the minute. A general tidy up all round and hopefully a chill out in the garden later.
DS1 and DS2 are out and OH is going to take DS3 to the park when he goes to pick DS2 up.
Healthy eating was going OK until I hit the bottle's' last night and had a cup of tea with chocolate biscuits this morning..tut tut. Think I'll wait until tomorrow to get on the scales.
Hope everybody has a good Sunday.xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Have had a really busy couple of days. The kids had the pool out on Sunday....it's quite a big one that can stay up but we need to get some 'stuff' to treat the water.....and hopefully some more warm weather so they can go in it again. The pool was a gift and hopefully it will keep the kids entertained during the summer hols as no holiday this year......just a trip to l3g0land with our tickets from The Sun.:)
Yesterday I was in the office for over 10hours, got in and had tea and then it was bedtime. But I did have a NSD so that was a bonus.
OH picking his new bike up this week although still need to sort out payments on the Bike to Work scheme.....so many things so little time. Think I'll re-write my lists tonight.
Weather is pants today (DS3 has gone to school in shorts!!) but hope everybody is OK.xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Right back on track after a very hectic few days. Monday and yesterday were NSDs, today we've had to get petrol, bread, milk, bananas and cereal.
DS3 got a swimming badge and DS2 had footie........money from the hobbies/entertainment pot.
Window cleaner came today - £10.
I've written a list of all the things [STRIKE]I[/STRIKE]we need to sort out.....I like lists.:)........must do tax credit renewal as a priority, still haven't heard from them about our overpayment though.
Healthy eating going OKish, had a couple of extra long days at work so probably haven't eaten enough.....if that makes sense.
Can't believe it's Wednesday evening already, must sort childcare for the summer holidays, I think we've got 3 week of care to sort out....me and OH are off between us the rest of the time.
