  • Evening, listening to the Carol service on TV, pork is in the oven and crackling is looking good.

We had a job finished this morning at the house whilst we were at church. We managed to get home to pay them just as they were finishing and then spent the afternoon on the beach. A complete joy.

We may have popped to see the dog on the way home :rotfl: She is back and leg is wrapped up in a cross between a bandage and plaster. It's to stop her licking etc. She wagged her tail and recognised us - yes all of us were there, loving her. Mad people.

Merry Christmas to all and for anyone struggling, or wondering if this journey on MFW is worth it, every penny is, truly.

    Best wishes Tilly x x

Merry Christmas Everyone, and glad the dog is feeling better and you & the family were there to help when she needed it.

  • Morning, we've seen the dog again this morning and she's lovely. Her mum and dad will think we're stalking her though :rotfl:

It's Boxing Day in the UK but a normal business day here. This morning I've made an inventory of fridge, freezer, larder cupboards - just the right amount of stuff left for the various meals I need to make. Cleaning products sorted and a small list of stuff to buy.

Second load of washing in the machine, first is on the line and one more to go. No TD needed :j I will set the timer for the last one and it can go out tomorrow. We are off for another cliff walk and I am charging my fitbit :)

I think in years gone by we would have spent about £2k on Christmas- stupid I know but including car hire, flights, gifts, food, we have spent just under £1500.

Right, maybe I should get dressed before our walk, may frighten the birds otherwise.

  • Booger - MWC has challenged us today on Fitbit and mine won't synch :(

I promise I have walked 11,471 so far and most of them were up hill and down dale. Truly glorious walk along the cliffs, sun shining, slight breeze and laughter. A couple of places were a bit hairy after my accident earlier this year but DS lent me a helping hand :A

So glad dog is doing well. Tilly Family are obviously dogs Christmas angels :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

  • Morning MWC, it was lovely walking by the sea - views were
    glorious :T

Right, tree and decorations down, pancake batter being made by Mr T, all the washing is done but it is raining on and off, so the little TD (no :smileyhea) is on the go.

Off for drinks at a beach bar to catch up with some friends before we head to the airport. Sad to be going back to the UK but know that we are moving closer to the time when we live here. There's a truly multi cultural group with Norwegians, Dutch, German, Portuguese, English etc and it is great the way people integrate and share recipes, traditions etc. We've agreed with some Portuguese friends that when we come to buying a car here, he is buying it on our behalf. Better by far for negotiating than us :)

    Best wishes, Tilly x x x
