  • Just finished watching "Supervet at Christmas" which was lovely, then read your post - a lovely gesture from both of you looking after the dog and paying for treatment. As for not being very MSE, well with being MF that gives you the choice to do as you please. Lovely gesture:beer:. G & T well deserved:A

Well done to you and Mr T :T.

  • Yes, well done you. We can't all be mse all the time and the advantage of being mse most of the time is that you can afford to do things like this.
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

You are lovely. I am sure your kindness will be repaid by the world. Love to you and dog xx
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

What a horrible thing to witness, but what a kind thing to do, to pay for the injured dog's treatment.

Hopefully the doggie will make a full recovery.

Ah bless you and you will know that these owners will always remember the time a stranger helped them, maybe one day they will pay it forward.

Not very MSE but isn't that what we do here, help one another.

Oh and a footnote this is the nicest board on MSE and I have been on a few xx

  • Happy news to report. The dog has been stitched up today. She wasn't up to that yesterday, too much trauma and the vet wanted her to have a rest overnight, after being checked over, injected and bandaged. The gashes were quite deep so will take a while to heal but I've seen her today and her tail was wagging. Not exactly the way you'd normally make friends with people but there we go :rotfl:

Glorious day and I've washed a quilt, yes a quilt not a cover, and dried it on the line :j:j:j:j

Mr T has done some man stuff in the garden. There's a fair bit of land and he's filled in some holes at the bottom of the fencing with stones.

I have a joint of pork defrosting for Christmas Eve. We are off to church in the morning and then the beach. Chucking a joint of pork in the oven should make for an easy dinner. I can't wait for our kitchen to be done over here. It will be our first ever kitchen which is at the right height, with sockets in the right places and drawers not cupboards. We will be buying the kitchen from just over the border in Spain as they are better quality and cheaper :money:

Thanks all for dropping by. El, I'll text you when I'm home :)

Watty, let's definitely catch up in the New Year, plus Brizzle.

Much love to all from a happy Tilly x x
