Well done to DS :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Afternoon, Mr T and DS have gone to Londinium for the day. HMS Belfast, the Shard, Borough Market for lunch, London Eye (just looking, not going on - DS can't remember going on it when he was younger). Big Ben, Buck Palace then drinks and dinner. I didn't think I'd be up to all of that and have had a really lovely day pottering.
Meal plan for next week is done up until Thursday:
Tomato and anchovy roast peppers served with a salad of griddled purple sprouting, mange tout, pine nuts and red onions.
Spag Bol -DS request
Filo pastry topped fish pie with broad beans in parsley sauce
Pitta breads with salad and spicy chicken and HM humous
You can see that the veggie beds are working hard to keep us in green things
HG potatoes will be ready soon - can't wait.
Operation declutter I'll begin shortly - I'm borrowing Apple's MC book for a while. I'm trying to look at the house (again) with an outsider's eyes, which is what we did when we livened the garden up this year.
DS was on good form last night and we were able to sit outside until almost midnight. Food was good although I should have made another type of salad up as well, it seemed meat heavy. As you can imagine Mr T and DS were delighted.
Hopefully everyone is enjoying the weekend - sun is here :T

Congratulations to DS - the day out in London sounds wonderful as well
I would absolutely consider returning to the South at some point, so much to see and do. I'd stomach up to an hour's commute for a London job
One of my few London regrets that I never visited Borough market when we were down there, I'd be in my element nowadays!
Have a lovely weekend.0 -

:T *sigh* how wonderful:D:D:D:D
Funnily enough, I was trying to work out the other day if I could squeeze in a day trip to Londinium for a very specific purpose. I think I could just about squeak what I needed to do given the transport timetable, but I did then look as to where Borough Market was in relation to where I'd (mostly) be. Unfortunately, a step and um.... a big bloomin river too farNever mind, I sincerely hope that your DH and DS have a ball. Fantastic that they've made a day adventurising together
Hope they bring you something smashing back from the market

Cor, that certainly IS a day in Londinium! We don't manage 1/4 of that - but we do have a 7 yo in tow, and the highlights are usually: the carousel just a little further along from the Eye, the fountains in Traf Square, and the sandpit in St James' Park. She's pretty cheap to entertain!!!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Morning, Mr T and DS were home for 8ish - both completely weary. They walked miles and were full of tales and pics. Really glad they went together.
I would like to know where the washing gremlin comes from? I have had the washing machine on multiple times a day and I still have one lot left. DD brought all her stuff back from Uni, so that did require a fair amount of turnaround, plus I have washed more winter coats. I bought C@stco washing gel tabs a few weeks ago. I'll stick with these - good price and 240 in a tub.
Shopping yesterday came to just over £17. Veggie garden definitely helps to reduce the food bill. The broad beans and mange tout are producing well. It's like having your on shop in the garden. I've planted more salad leaf seeds. S&S done, plus FOTG.
Right, I'd better crack on.

Excellent, London is a brilliant city to walk around once you get used to what is where :T
How much do C0stco charge per tab? Trying to figure out if it's than our 6.36p + spoon of soda crystals using the L1dl tabs. If so, can have a colleague pick some up, we are doing two loads a day, what with nappies and baby clothes :eek:0 -
Hey Tilly, wonderful to catch up, loving the £7k and Ds getting the job. It's such an exciting time for you just now0
