It is cold and miserable here; we've had proper comfort food today as it feels like winter!

It's all a bit nippy, isn't it. Great to hear that your veg beds are so productive :)
2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • Evening, lovely Sunday with tons achieved but without any rushing :)

I'm feeling truly blessed at the moment. It may have been a difficult year but I've been able to learn, plan and see my beautiful children grow and flourish.

Ironing is almost complete. More washing in the machine on a timed wash for the morning. Fridge and bread cupboard sorted, used up various items today. No waste at all :T

I had a lovely chat with Mum for 30 mins this evening. She's over 90 and still laughs at so many things. She's industrious, capable and fiercely independent. The latter can be a challenge, believe me.

I have a box of things to deliver to our Food Bank tomorrow. I think it is so sad that the need for them is growing and I apprciate people have differing opinions, but when I was a young adult, I couldn't imagine there ever being a need for this facility.

Payday this week and looking forward to filling up the various pots :T

    Right, sleep is calling.

  • Morning, glorious morning and Mr T and I had breakfast outside :j

Hounds were sitting at our feet with hopeful expressions - they were rewarded for their patience.

Washing on the line, second lot nearly finished, airing cupboard emptied and contents repatriated. Guest bedroom cleaned and their bathroom - all looking lovely.

Mr T has booked a meeting at lunchtime to enable us to walk the hounds :)

A task for this week is to find DSs old phone and try and sell. I had put it safely away but remember moving it and now can't find it

Tonight is financials - kids will both be out and Mr T and I can sit for an hour getting straight. I won't have anything extra to throw at the mortgage this week due to purchasing clothes for DS going to sixth form.

On a veggie note - courgette plants are racing now and I'm looking forward to griddled courgette slices :)

  • Afternoon, it's been an odd day, sun is shining but sky is grey/blue, however, washing has dried on the line without showers :)

HM scones ready to have with a up of tea - I've deliberately made them about two bites in size, in order that we can have a treat but small.

HM coleslaw made for this evening to have with new potatoes and mint, green salad with roast BNS and smoked bacon.

    Ironing is finished :j

We had a lovely walk with the hounds and managed to spend time talking through the next 3-5 years. We will have the same focus as we have had for the last 3.5 years and all additional funds will go towards our future. I'm loving exploring house plans ready for the very likely build we will do in Portugal :T

I have a cup of tea by my side and once Mr T is off the phone, I'll pass a scone his way.

  • Enjoy the planning! Will you build on the footprint of your existing home or buy another plot?

Hi Squirrel, on and 10% over current footprint. We are having a surveyor check the foundations first, to see whether renovation could be appropriate. What we don't want to do is start renovating only to find problems.

So looking forward to the future :)

  • Morning Goldie, I would say 2015 has been the worst year I've lived through, up until a few weeks ago. I am improving daily now and can see my drive and enthusiasm returning. I'm guessing it's visible in my diary too :)

I've had my early walk round the garden (sounds grand but not in reality) and sat and drunk my first cup of the day - bliss :)

Have a good day - I'll hop over and see what you're up to.

  • Good morning,

The plans sound really exciting. Just sitting here listening to the news and think the world has gone mad. So it is good to put it all into perspective with a cup of tea and a stroll around the garden. 2015 will get better for you and you will all be going from strength to strength by the autumn.

    Xxx
