That wet stuff poured on my 2 loads of washing that were hanging out and nearly dry. And I was at dd's school, looking at their art exhibition. We ran home!!!

Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

That's exactly how it started. Sky went dark, lights on  then it poured down. It's been raining on and off ever since.

We are laying the table in the dining room, rather than kitchen to celebrate Friday :T

Hope you didn't get too wet Apple.

No wet stuff but it is windy and has turned quite cold. I think we are due rain tomorrow and should be escaping the thunder. We planned to have a chip shop dinner by the sea...we did but were in the safety of the car!

We had some bright lightening and loud thunder about an hour ago, plus some rain, but it's passed, and it's quite nice now

    Happy Friday !

We ran home laughing, Tilly! Then I draped the 2 loads' worth of washing around the house, as the airer was already full from load#1! Tis now mostly dry - the bathroom radiator that warms up when the hot water is on did a sterling job with 9 pillowcases and then dd's duvet cover.

The sun came out just a few mins after I'd got it all in, but dd told me not to put it outside again, just in case. The wisdom of a 7yo!

On the spending more wisely front, one tip I picked up from this site is to pay my council tax by credit card. The card gets cleared by DD each month but we earn cash back. It all helps.

    Good luck to all
    Tilly

I've been reading through your thread Tilly, you're a great inspiration! This is a great idea as I have a cashback card too. Can this method be used if you pay monthly as well do you know?

    Thanks :)

  • Hi Runders, thanks for dropping by. I pay ours monthly but check with your council as some make a charge which negates the benefit. My CB card has stopped paying CB  so I now pay with my JL card to help build points.

Good luck and although a long journey it is SO worth it.

    Best wishes Tilly
