I love the "what will we take" conversations and the retirement planning too
I decluttered a fair bit when I did this move nearly 5 years ago, but I've got rid of loads and loads and loads since then, and I can still see more. Its very exciting! 2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Oooh, Tilly + MK = an exciting combination! If you can't get the book from the library, let me know and I'll post you my copy xNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Morning Apple, thanks for the offer - I may take you up on that. I can send you stamps as I have loads due to RM surveys.
I'm off to the hospital for physio this morning. I'm doing fairly well but am still limited in what I can do.
I, like others, hate this part of the month where nothing happens. At least I have my lodger weekly OP to make but I did that on Friday
No First World does that sound - sorry.....
I've been contacted by a company looking student digs - £220 per week including food for 7, 10, 12 or 14 weeks. That is full time rather than Monday to Friday but it may worthwhile mixing it in with Mon-Fri ones.
Dinner this evening is pasta with ham, peas, chives and a little cream.
Other money matters - paid for house and building insurance for mum. Original quote £263 - final cost £117.63 - do they think their customers are mad  Mum pays me back, I'm not a saint :rotfl:
That's all for now. I'm having a lift then coffee with a friend.

Quite possibly!
I'd like to 'name and shame' Sw1ftcover for not only offering me the cheapest car insurance renewal quote this year (better than comparison sites), but for taking a few ££ off it without the obligatory bargaining phone call :T0 -
Middle of June and I've put my electric blanket on :eek::eek:
Thankfully Mr T is home tomorrow.

My renewal quote was the same (as in cheaper). I would like to say that the companies are learning but I am sure next year I will find out it was all a big mistake :rotfl:MFW 2025 No. 7 £1931.07/£2700

Same here, but with home insurance
I'll still check to see if we can get a better deal or cashback elsewhere, but such a fair renewal offer is a real breath of fresh air! 0 -
Morning, we have blue sky - ok it's pale and watery, but it's blue rather than grey. This is exactly what frustrates me about the UK. When you have a beautiful summer day, it's a delight but they are sadly rare.
What's happening today - another physio appointment. This appears to be my new social life :rotfl: I met a friend for coffee yesterday and I paid. £5 for two coffees :eek::eek: It was lovely to catch up and worth the money but even so, that's ridiculous. I'm meeting another chum for a catch up this morning. Now I'm feeling better, I'm loving getting out and about and meeting people again.
I'm helping more people with home financial management and I'm loving it. The things we take for granted in terms of budgeting for insurances, annual bills, car maintenance etc, plus doing additional things - surveys, TCB, £co etc - to increase cash coming into the home is second nature to all of us now. Knowing that people can change their lives the way we have, is great to know.
Late breakfast calls, then dog walking. My hounds are missing their dad.
The sun is finally out - I started this post almost an hour a go :rotfl:

I don't have an electric blanket, but I *do* still have my winter duvet on, even tho its quite hot in the morning :rotfl:Tilly_MFW_in_6_YRS wrote: »Middle of June and I've put my electric blanket on :eek::eek:
Days here are beautiful blue sky but **freezing** - weird combo.Tilly_MFW_in_6_YRS wrote: »Morning, we have blue sky - ok it's pale and watery, but it's blue rather than grey. I'm glad you're out and about - I'm not really doing that yet, but I *am* on Saturday, off to an exhibition, I'm very relieved. What's happening today - another physio appointment. Hope today goes well, with more coffee and chat

Well today ended up being a glorious summer day. Lovely breeze, blue sky and just the right temperature.
I'm sitting in the garden having picked tons of different leaves for the salad and DD is busily washing and making said salad.
We've been shopping and bought DS a suit in the sale - £40 :T. Plus two slim style shirts for £8 :T. Happy mum and son.
Lovely coffee with a friend and she reminded me it was her turn to pay
Money matters - TCB is back up to £101 with just over £10 confirmed. As Mr T is back travelling more, it's accruing at about £15 per week.
Hopefully everyone has seen some sun today.
