  • Evening, another work day in the bag. One of these days I'll wake up and know I'm done and can concentrate on other stuff instead :)

I thought I'd get the birthday well and truly over before mentioning on here. I can't believe another year has gone already. I did have a lovely compliment today though - someone thought I was 10 years younger than I am :j:j:j

Mr T took the family out for a lovely meal yesterday. A belated celebration from a big birthday last year that we didn't really celebrate as Mr T had been made redundant.

All in all a good few days but I am sick of the rain. The hounds are not happy at all and don't want to step outside.

I've had a good old catch up with DD via FB - I haven't used FB for calls before but not a bad signal at all.

What lies ahead this week - a sneaky OP. My mum gave me some money for my birthday and I really don't need anything so I'm OPing it. She understands why, as mum and dad cleared their mortgage early. That was with good financial management - I just wish she had taught her off spring as well.

DD had chicken and roast veg for dinner. We had beef flank casserole (loads of veg), served with boiled potatoes. We definitely need warming dishes at the moment.

Zumba wasn't missed - I got the day wrong

I'm off to make a cuppa and see how Mr T is doing. He's going 'up north' tomorrow and is packing his work stuff up. He's home tomorrow nigh though :)

    Best wishes, Tilly x

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Morning, thanks for birthday greetings - where do the years go? I always thought they whizzed by years ago, but that's nothing to now.

    Right, plans for the week.

Meeting at school with DS tonight. He's off on a school trip. I used our entertainment budget for it as I forgot to budget for it :(. He's looking forward to it although they have to be at school in the early hours - so looking forward to that.

Zumba on Wednesday. Spin class on Thursday plus a church event. Then the weekend starts. I'm hoping for decent ish weather as we have tons to do in the garden.

The following weekend DS is away - 3 days of just the two of us :). Providing the weather is ok, we are taking the hounds for a trip somewhere new. I'm going to get all the financials up to date - we've been a little slack.

I've TTd 98p to MOS this morning.

Roast Mediterranean veg and cous cous for dinner this evening.

    Have a good day, Tilly x x

Tilly! I'm embarrassed to say I've only just found your diary :o I know you from loads of others ... last time I came back, your diary must have been on the 2nd page temporarily, but I've subscribed just now (I'm terrible for only used my subscribed threads). The overpayments you've made are fantastic - I'm in awe, I really am, its tremendous! Am definitely going to hang out here and pick up tips :j

I'm doing this with some Christmas money my mum gave me - I'm buying some premium bonds, and I'll do more of that until March, when I'll cash them in and make a single pension contribution.
