I love how you're a 'lazy old moo' for not being up by 08:30! I'm still not dressed :rotfl:
Completely agree with your point from earlier on on this page about rubbish collection - I don't think we realise how lucky we are. I remember reading an article about (I think) India, where a middle aged chap was essentially a private refuse collector. He pulled a giant wooden cart that weighed something like half a ton in 40 degree temperatures and had a monthly wage that was equivalent to a few hundred dollars. My numbers might be a little off, but essentially here was a chap doing the work that we don't even use horses for any more in this country. We are very lucky!
This is why I get annoyed when I go down to our binstore where the neighbours have had one of their bi-monthly clearouts and fight to fit stuff in the bins around their mahoosive sacks of mixed glass, clothes and discarded lamps
I'm such a saddo that I have ever split peoples recycling out for them0 -
At least you haven't taken to returning their stuff Ed.
Have a lovely friend who has nicknamed her neighbour "BarrytheBin" after he took a lamp from her bin, cleaned it, repaired it and returned it. Whilst the gesture was kind she was rather disturbed that he had been going through her *closed* bin. As the receipt of the lovely repaired lamp I didn't mind in the leastMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Hi Mr E, we are often seen picking up rubbish from the parks nearby and bringing it home to recycle.
It really does make you think doesn't it - we are all pretty darned fortunate.
Hi Watty, love the BarrytheBin tale, I imagine your friend would have been a bit surprised :rotfl:

Morning, dark, wet autumn morning.
On a brighter note, I'm off to Zumba tonight and that always brings a smile to my face :T
29p Tilly Tidied to MOS - it's going to take a lot of TTs to clear this mortgage :rotfl:
Oxtail stew bagged and frozen, brisket sliced and bagged with gravy also frozen.
I'm happier knowing I have HM ready meals in the freezer.
I'm doing a freezer inventory this coming weekend and can then meal plan for November. I'm a creature of habit. I like my monthly meal plan and it is the most effective way (for me) of keeping the budget down.

Wow Tilly ... I lost the post I was writing to you earlier and now I've come back I've found you in the middle of what appears to be a spam sandwich!
Just wanted to say that although things are a bit grot at the moment, the fact I managed a cheeky MOP of £20 this week is due to Tilly Tidy moments, so thank you for that!
Glad all's good with you and yours! Mr. Hbbb loves oxtail, but it's a cooking fragrance that pushes this [tolerant of all his usual smells] little veggie slightly too far, so he doesn't cook it very often nowadays! I might have to let him have free rein with it when I go to the xmas show with my mum next month!

Not sure if it helps Habibiboo, but I often use the SC in the garage
The spam is madness at the moment.
Glad the TTs are working. I really find the approach helps
