  • Morning, where is the week going?

Food at lunch times has consisted of cottage cheese with chilli sprinkles, thin crispbreads and salad stuff. One night of fish and chips, with bread and salad (yum), and last night's dinner went into the bin, and we ate the tortilla I'd made for DD and my lunch today. I've never made such a revolting meal in my life.

Moving on - payday in 1.5 weeks :)

£78 confirmed for TCB - the category before payable, plus £117 in the first category.

Two YG surveys completed this morning.

    Dogs walked

Dinner tonight is HM Chinese using leftover pork. Fingers crossed this works :rotfl:

Mr T returns tonight and I've really missed him. Our autumn project is to learn how to use a free cad cam design type package. Plans need to be made :T

Work is full on but my hours are realistic. I've accepted I simply cannot do everything and mails get moved into folders if I haven't responded. People can always chase me if they need a response.

    Gym tomorrow early :)

I feel as though we are on countdown until DD leaves home. She is having a few wobbles but I'm sure many others do too.

I'd better crack on - I have no projects on the go at the moment - freezer use up done and now restocked, project jar use up - all done, in fact we will need more.

Finally, looks like we will be going away for Christmas. Will be discussing over the weekend and hopefully booking flights and car hire.

    Have a fab day.

  • I remember getting a fair few wobbles when I was getting ready to go to uni, especially the night before I left as a chunk of my room was packed up and it all looked a bit odd.

If you haven't done so already then Google "List of what to take to uni", you get a pretty big choice, but there are things on them that both me and my Mum hadn't considered but found invaluable (I didn't need a full set of pots and pans, for example, because I was in catered halls, but I did take basic crockery as I didn't want to eat in the dining hall every day).

I'd also recommend that she get a folder (just a normal card one, not a massive ringbinder) and keep all her paperwork in it such as latest bank account statement, her student loan forms (also tell her to photocopy her student loan forms when she fills them in, in my 2nd year they claimed I hadn't given them my NI number that year and couldn't give me any money, after 3 other forms and multiple phone calls I checked my copies of the original form I'd sent for that year and saw I HAD give them the number, after telling them on the phone they suddenly realised that yes, they did have my NI number), her passport (ID will probably be needed for registration), her acceptance letter just in case, details about her GP as she'll need to register with the campus one, and anything else that's been sent by her university.

Once she settles in she'll have loads of fun! After my parents left I spent 4 hours sitting in the kitchen drinking endless cups of tea (catered hall but we had a kitchen with a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle) and talking to everyone that walked in, helped fight off the homesickness XD

Thinking of you Tilly... I dread the boys going away from home. Did you ever watch Toy Story 3 - makes me cry every time when Andy is clearing his room to go off to college. x

Morning, this year is whizzing by at a ridiculous rate

Last night's dinner of Chinese using left over pork was delicious. Given my disaster the night before I was a little concerned.

Tonight will be fridge use up and creating a Greying inspired Buddha bowl. Will be cous cous based and I have a variety of bits, so am thinking ME spices, plus make some flat breads to nibble on beforehand with Zaatar on top.

Money - today will be a spend day. I am hoping to finish Xmas shopping :rotfl: I may even wrap them up and store, where I can find them :)

No gym this morning as I have a meeting to go to, however we are booked in for tonight.

    I'd better run
