Hi Sepa, I love having the washing on the line. This rain is a right pain. It's chucking it down here, passed the pouring stage.
Both DH and I feel reinvigorated with the mortgage moving - its such a journey for us all isn't it - decided today that lodgers money will go straight off the mortgage as it arrives. That way it is invisible and no temptation to spend

Hi Pammy, I wouldn't be too amazed really, it truly just goes to show how much money we wasted before - terrible really, but as people have told me on this thread before, we cannot spend time worrying about past mistakes, we just have to focus on the now and the future.
We all have to spur each other on don't we - it's a blinking long journey to be on, but worth it for us all. I wonder whether the whole of MFW has the ability to dent the banks profits a little - that would be a good story.......

I'm not upset about the rain, the washing was neither here nor there, just a bit of power used up, but not the end of the world. I find there is nothing like a rainy Sunday to give me a wonderful feeling of peace - I don't have to do anything! I might watch a movie later this afternoon, and maybe do some baking... although don't hold your breath. Rainy Sunday afternoons feel like a luxurious indulgence, for some reason!
Actually, thinking about it, I'm positively pleased about the rain. It's been so dry I had been thinking about watering my garden, which is ridiculous at this time of year!!Borrowed £150,000 in an offset tracker mortgage in May 2007 - MFD May 2041 (67)

Hi Sepa, that's a very good point and our garden definitely needs a drink too. Our little cats have said they are staying snuggled up though - not interested in putting a paw outside the back door

Mine were all snuggled up too - very sensible, and in fact my black cat was snoring (always makes me laugh!), but now they've decided I should feed them - it's only 2pm!
I can see they're going to moan at me all afternoon.

Evening, well sad to say my ironing is not yet finished. I think with all the gardening yesterday, I ran out of puff. Plus last week was bedlam at work. So I actually went and lay down this afternoon and fell fast asleep

Just made the dinner for tomorrow evening and am making some chicken stock - smells gorgeous.
On a positive note, so far this year I have lost 16lbs :T:T

Hi SD and Radish, I think the combination of less carb, more exercise seems to be paying off. 2lbs a week seems ok.
Radish, I love looking at your outstanding M balance - I feel quite green

wow well done on the weight loss, thats great. I have just started a green smoothie challenge. I dont eat enough veg and usually only 1 or 2 bits of fruit a day so me and the kids have been having a fruit smoothie for breakfast and putting in either spinach or kale (which you cant taste). The kids and I love the smoothies and they are really good for us, I would never eat spinach or kale with lunch. We have had one every day for 8 days so far and trying to see if we do it for 30 days without getting sick of it. If nothing else it will sort my digestion out lol (tmi) and increase my iron which is too low to give blood lately and hopefully get my energy levels up.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987
