Morning, managed to sleep and still my mind.

Thanks for your lovely good wishes - it's exciting, worrying and frustrating all at the same time.

Calls start at 7.30am so I can see me showering afterwards - still in bed at the moment

Mr T is paid next week and mortgage payment goes out. In August our payment will see us drop into the £140k bracket :):):)

    All heading the right way.

    Hello Tilly :hello:

You've been so encouraging to me. Please may I piggy back on your diary to let you and others know that the first installment (1/3 of the total) of my compensation money arrived today? Sadly I didn't notice that there had been any post until after it was too late to go to the bank ("helpful" children had picked it up and put it where I wouldn't notice it) but will be paying the cheque in tomorrow. It should pay off just over 3/4 of my "mortgage" once I pay it across to my dad. :D
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)
  • Evening Lydia, what fab news to read and I am thrilled for you

    :T:T:T:T

    Enjoy paying the cheque in tomorrow x x x x x

  • Evening, I have no idea where today went to - it has simply vanished.

Great night out with a girlfriend, lots of refillable drinks and much laughter :rotfl:

Getting closer to monthly mortgage payment and feeling quite excited - maybe I need to get out more, start drinking etc?

It really is hard to believe it's Friday tomorrow - truly, how can that be?

Looking forward to the kids coming home tomorrow - mum has had a lovely time with them. She's definitely moving in for the winter again- whether this ends up being permanent this year I don't know. We will just leave it with her. She's planning on moving in, in late October. I know this sounds very early to be discussing the winter, but given how ill she was, she needs time to think and mull stuff over.

Right, Mr T is home and has made me a lovely cup of tea, so I'm turning the iPad off
