    What a day

Gym was fab and felt brilliant when we'd finished.

Work was pants - mental, never ending and not worth mentioning again.

Dinner - eaten around 9.15pm in the garden with the candles at the ready - rib eye steak, salad, HM rolls. Finished off with HG strawberries :T

Money - haven't got any at the moment  Never mind the freezer may be dwindling but still food available, garden has salads, courgettes, peas, chilli's, tomatoes, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries so pretty sure we can manage.

Tomorrow - who knows - I'm doing a spinning class, boring washing, ironing. Mr T is off with friends in the afternoon, then we are off out with friends in the evening.

Best wishes and I hope everyone sleeps - the thunder, lightening and gentle rain (for now) has started.

  • The work may not change, but very soon you will be able to take it or leave it, which will probably make it much more fun.

    You're so right.

I'll pop over and check your diary as I'm guessing there are plenty of :j:j and :T:T:T:T going on.

Morning, dare I say I've overslept

Mr T took DD to work and I didn't wake up at all until just before 9 :o

It's quite weird as I'm an early bird and get lots of jobs done first thing and I have to admit to feeling a little out of sorts now. Not sure where to start.

    Plan of action needed:

Sort washing and get the machine started
Will have to dry in TD, weather is too wet today to depend upon line and I don't want it hanging around
    Holiday insurance
    Ironing
    Empty airing cupboard - again
    Change two beds
    Clean bathrooms
    Clean our bedroom

    Spinning class
    Walk the hounds

    Shopping

Not sure how to fit this in but as as Mr T is out this afternoon, I'll iron then.

Echoing the comments on Habibiboo's diary - the fact I have stuff to do, have overslept, pales into insignificance after so many people died in the plane crash. So many families lives will never be the same as a result.

    Seconded :o:T
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Tilly - ref the grilled peaches, I bet they'd have gone well with your steak :D The grilling really did bring out the peach flavour - but it also brought out their sweetness (they tasted totally different to eating them 'raw' IYSWIM) which complemented the saltiness of the feta really well.

What say you to Rib-eye steak with blue cheese and grilled peaches with a salad next time? :D

    Hope you're having a great weekend :D

  • Morning, hot, muggy and grey but beats freezing conditions :T

The gym was fab is morning. A little hard getting up as we only managed 4.5 hours sleep

I owe a great debt to HDK for motivating me to get out and join a gym. If I reduced my calorie intake even further I know I'd be losing weight more quickly but I'm averaging 1lb loss each week. I do need to remember to update my sig.

Mr T and I have emptied the kitchen fridge, cleaned, sorted and replaced. Looks more organised and it's reminded me of what's lurking at the back :o

    Four weeks to holidays :T

Payday tomorrow, will pay council tax by CC to get cashback. Mr M is earning around £8 a month on expenses CC and the cashback from hotels is mounting up. Fortunately it's all showing as confirmed. All of this will be OPd.

Dinner this evening is spatchcocked chicken with Harissa paste brushed over the skin. Serving with a salad to use all the odds and sods up. I'm cooking brisket of beef in the SC and using this tomorrow night. Freezer contents are coming down well and 4 weeks to empty it completely.

The Malaysian plane crash has certainly made us think. Life is so transient - as we age and lose family, it makes this journey change. When I was younger I wanted beautiful crockery, cut glass, fine wine - now I am more content and satisfied with far less 'stuff'. OK, I still have cut glass, crockery etc but if I'm spending £ now it's on needs.

Enough of my rumblings I need to get showered and out to church.

:T The sun has come out :T
