    Nor me, natty.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Mr E, you may be right about this exercise malarkey

Did I mention the feeling goes away if you have a holiday? Two weeks off and I felt like being sick after half an hour of relatively slow hill runs

Come out with me and I'll show you what a slow hill run REALLY looks like :o.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Where has this week gone?

Money - 27p TT to MOS. PC survey £3. Bonus payable this month :)

Work - Mr T has received rave reviews from client - very happy Mr T and he's home this evening.

Looks increasingly unlikely that my future will change in terms of work - I can't become despondent though as we will still be MF. Not taking redundancy will likely mean it takes until Xmas to clear. More number crunching to do. I haven't used any bonus figures in the mortgage clearing plans, so hopefully these will close the gap a little.

Miss T is doing a lot of the Monday through Thursday cooking - her repertoire is growing :)

I'm out tonight but DD is making an aubegine and lentil pie with filo pastry, flavoured with Ras el Hanout.

At the gym early tomorrow and I'm loving the difference it makes. Exercise is definitely good for the brain.

I'd better crack on and get showered and ready for work. Running late this morning.

  • The work may not change, but very soon you will be able to take it or leave it, which will probably make it much more fun.
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D
  • Morning, off to the gym shortly :).

Lovely dinner with MSE chum last night. Roll on retirement :T

Thunder woke us all up - the lightening was lighting the bedroom up.

    Glad that's finished.

    Right, I'd better get ready.

Have a good day - where did this week to

  • Every time I read your diary it makes me want to cook different dishes for dinner. Its so easy to become stuck in a rut, even I'm bored with some of the dinners! Off to spend a little time with some cookery books.

I was having a month off menu planning as I felt my cooking mojo had taken a hike but fortunately DD rescued the day :T.

I tend to use 1-3 different books for a month to make sure I cook different stuff as I agree, it's easy to get stuck in a rut :o

Enjoy your books - can't beat an hour of peace and quiet, good cookery book and a cuppa :)

    Thanks for stopping by
