Just wanted to say that I agree with you about 'things'. As I've got older I'm less interested in material possessions. What is more important is time. I crave time to have new experiences, visit new places, to read, to relax and just generally enjoy life.Early retired - 18th December 2014

I'm really loving the gym and cannot believe the difference in how I feel. I'm smiling more, more clothes fit me and more importantly it is making me think about food differently. If I have a blow out - I went out last week and had chicken, salad and chips, plus bread, then I plan to eat less in the day or the following day to even out the calories.
I'm eating at least three pieces of fruit and 4-5 helpings of veg each day. I struggle with taking in enough calcium but am cheating with a calcium supplement. Menopause and no HRT means I'm being careful about osteoporosis.

Well done on the running. I am struggling but persevering with the spinning classes. I feel completely useless but I can see an improvement class by class which is good news.
DD and I need to get some classes booked for early this week - the kids are off to stay with their nan mid week. She's so looking forward to having them. It must be lovely to live to watch your grandchildren grow up. She can see the types of people they have become which is marvellous.
Right, I'd better get to bed - little sleep this weekend - too much socialising and it's taking its toll :rotfl:

I completely understand how you feel - I love creating memories with the kids - we take loads of photos and I have had a few photo books made up (when there's and :money: offer). They will remember these things far more than mum's champagne glasses
