Thanks Tills - I always like to read about food, whether I can eat it or not :D I am definitely wanting to try Thoum/Thum one day, but will have to wait until we are on holiday I think. Colleagues are definitely not garlic tolerant, to the point of being intolerant of the faintest whiff......*sigh*

    Alchemilla - I absolutely agree :D

Hope you and your readers have a wonderful Sunday Dear Heart.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Great mortgage progress. Love reading of progress on other threads. Such a motivator to keep going on ones own :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Well done Tilly. Wonder if I can catch you up?
  • Morning GG, will be :j:j when it gets under £100k :j:j

Watty, I get so much pleasure from reading about people's progress - it's quite mad as most of us don't know each other but I really do celebrate the news. When Squirrel cleared her mortgage I was thrilled :)

Morning Brizzle, soon be your holiday - get those invoices in :)

Alchemilla, I'm surprised you're not still fast asleep at this time in the morning. Enjoy your hols. It will be one mega virtual party when we've all finished :T

Am hoping to have some good news soon. I've been looking up online about how long it takes cheques to clear, and it seems to vary between banks as to whether the money becomes available 3 or 4 working days after you pay it in. I paid a big cheque into my numbered account at the Spanish bank on Friday morning. Does anybody know how soon I'll be able to use the money to pay off 3/4 of my mortgage? Might it happen tomorrow, or will I have to wait until Thursday? I am getting impatient here!

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
