I'm not saying that you're posh Tilly, but I didn't even realise that bell ringing had a vocabulary and descriptions of the different types of 'tune' :o

You are very virtuous. I got up at half past ten!

Were the cinnamon swirls the ones that L1dl sell during their Greek weeks? If so, they're always good.

Enjoy the rest of your extra day off :coffee:

:rotfl::rotfl: Mr E, always loads to learn on this diary as I have lovely visitors :T.

The cinnamon swirls were from L!dl but I can't remember if they were in stock because of a weekly special. DD will be very disappointed if that the case :(. I only bought one box to try.

I'm not as clued up as Thistle about bell ringing but if I lived somewhere with a church/real bells, I would definitely join. I really do find it restful and more importantly it brings back myriad memories from my childhood. I used to go walking with my dad every Sunday morning, around about the first service of the day and the bells would be calling. Depending upon the season we'd pick fruits, forage for salad ingredients for tea etc and the dog would be running free. Then it would be home, get the lunch prepared and off to mid morning service at church. Lunch was always at 1pm and tea at 6pm - nowadays I rarely cook a lunch on a Sunday, unless we have visitors and I'm sure it's still an act of rebellion :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

What happy memories though and none of it cost money.

I've loved reading the posts on your diary from Westie (need to check name). It supports a decision I've made recently and whilst nervous about it, I am very much looking forward to the next chapter.

Frittata was delicious and went well with the watercress and HG salad leaves. W/R bread from last week was made into garlic slices for the kids, plus we ate outside :T

Book reading calls but it's gone very cloudy now so it will definitely be inside.

All returns done and FR chicken returned to L!dl as it seemed a little dodgy - round received.

    Best wishes Tilly x

  • Never did get to read my book - and regardless of what I said earlier, I'll be glad when Mr T goes off tomorrow morning. However his list is almost complete :T. It's been like living with a slave driver today but as he rightly says, life will be a little easier this week as a result. I'm focussing on all the calories I must have burnt off :):)

I'm ironing tomorrow night :j. I like to live eh ........

What a day. There's also been an hour of work for both of us to prep for tomorrow.

Anyway, dinner coming along nicely and smells scrum-diddlee-um :)

Another £3 PC survey in the bag and already paid to PP. Mr T will request and then I'll OP

Halif@x outbound shuffle is done and money duly returned home.

You Gov seem to be on a roll and another two of those in the bag.

DS is busy revising and keeping very quiet - always worrying.

Ridiculous day but it leads to a more peaceful week. Mr T has a new list of jobs for us to do on his phone - not necessarily for this week but things he doesn't want us to forget.

I have also missed two birthdays and I'll need to pop and buy a card and flowers for one of them tomorrow.

It's been a delight to sit outside having a coffee after dinner and listening to the birds - the hounds were play fighting and they really do make me smile. It's like watching children play at times. I'm not sure a stranger would think they were play fighting though :rotfl:

I've escaped upstairs and am sitting listening to some music - peace at last.

    Night, Tilly x

ETA: Mr T has opened up the expense FD account - linked to mortgage. Plus he has taken out a new credit card with 18 months 0% on purchases, so will use this for expenses for stoozing. Once he is near the credit limit he will clear the card and start again but in the meantime leave the expenses offsetting against the mortgage.

..... and so the working week starts.

DD and I are walking the hounds in half an hour. Work bag packed and ready to go.

Bank account checked and Mr Ts expenses not paid - he will have a chat at work as its a big number and I've had to move money from savings to cover it.

Right, I'd better fling some clothes on :)

How's your operation freezer use up going, Tilly?
I did a huge fish pie yesterday (SW recipe) with all the odd bits of whoopsed fish I bought a while back. It was scrumptious and only 3 syns per portion!!
